When/why did you join Bluemoon?

We had the internet ages before I joined but only for about a year or so. When the eldest lad started asking for it for school work, we bit the bullet and signed up in January 2010. I didn't really know what to do when I wasn't alone on the internet and just went on the official site all the time.

Bluemoon was the second result on MCFC searches and a mate had told me a Rangers & City fan I used to know had been asking if anyone knew me on here. I signed up believing there'd be so few members that I'd recognise him by his username. I thought fbloke stood for fat bloke and tried to strike up a conversation with him. He must've thought I was a lunatic.

Then the Adam Teese thread happened.......

And now you Colonel in Chief of my Cellar troops.

A rapid ride through the ranks.

It shows what true dedication to a cause can bring.

Just after the Brighton cup defeat but I haven't a clue why I joined.

A disaster of a game, a long way and we were fucking dog shit. Ran out of juice at Stretford on the way back. Got in bed at 4-45 am. Up for work at 7-30 :(

Still it has been a steep learning curve for me on this forum :).

Yep still got the season ticket (that will never change). Definitely meet up for a beer soon, get the jogging postman out as well.

I joined BM because ric sold me a t shirt, also had got bored outing rags on the bbc forums.
Met a lot of very good people through blue moon , once you are in you are hooked, even ran into blue mooners in Turin the other year.

Joined about a year ago.

Reason was that I live in Norway and doesn't have the opportunity to attend all the games and therefore thought that talking with fellow City fans on here could in a way make me feel closer to the club I love. And as some has mentioned, without being called a gloryhunter etc.
Another reason is that this is the biggest City forum that is and with the biggest number of members.

Must say, the entertainment level of some threads on here is just extreme! Love the classics threads and the threads mentioned in the "Historic moments in Bluemoon history".

I would say it is pretty much obligatory for a City fan to be on here, I guess most fans are on here, either as members, or as lurkers!

I was living in Manchester with my future wife at the time and had over the previous year become a big City fan. My father in law had turned me onto football. I was becoming really frustrated though by the lack of media coverage in general, even in the greater Manchester area. I wanted to really sink my teeth into City and the amount of information available via traditional sources was woefully inadequate. So thank you Google I did a search for Manchester City Football Club Fan Forum and there was Bluemoon first on the list. Joined that very day and haven't looked back since!

Fairly long time lurker after getting bored of bluewatch and then finally joined up.

I did actually join up about 4 years before this account but I have no idea what the username or password was and I never used it.
