Where do you want to end up?

No fancy service, no church, just my ashes going over the top my favourite place Ribblehead Viaduct, where I can keep Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen -y -Ghent company for eternity.

We're on the brink of an AI revolution that might mean we can live forever. Or we'll all be killed by a misprogrammed superintelligence, negating the need for a formal funeral or burial.

Sure the superintelligence can figure out what to do with all the bodies if it's so smart.

If we did what people wanted we'd be tripping over rotting corpses and we don't really want that.

I am leaving up to my family, getting rid of a body should be free it's outrageous that the relatives are charged for it. Obviously if you want your funeral to look like a wedding resplendent with a Horse and cart and a walking zombie announcing your last arrival you should pay a lot for it.

This.

I've told everyone I know I do not want a funeral. I don't believe in them.
They do exist…

A funeral isn’t really for the dead person. It’s for the ones left behind to mark the occasion and celebrate a life. It needn’t be religious.

I don’t care what happens to my body when I’m dead. I’ll leave that to those I’ve left behind.

fuck the family...im going with a full rose strewn carriage, 6 black plumed horses...new orleans jazz band behind...road closures..high church and mausoleum with flat screen tv and netflix...I will also pay for a bunch of MILFS to wear black cocktail dresses and veils to weep throughout the proceedings.
No family or friends invited....donations by those who give a fk to their nearest Holts boozer.
