Where have all the Insects gone ?

Got any peer reviewed evidence for the broadband claim or is it just tin foil hat nonsense?
Plenty of flies and moths round here. Wasps are down and as for birds, it’s a cacophony round here.
I'd really really like it, if you didn't refer to my posts.on this thread .as Nonsense.
It's a serious matter. Once the Insects go......what's next ?

Sadly we've seen fuck all this summer, except for our dog who picked up fucking fleas. Very few bees and wasps, literally zero butterflies, fuck all. The planet is dying!

Scientists generally attribute it to habitat loss, increase in use of pesticides, climate change and light pollution as the causes. I couldn't find anything that attributed it to the internet. So it does, indeed, seem that your post was nonsense, unless you would like to link it to some reliable evidential proof.

Ok. Close thread. There isn't any serious decline in insects numbers or Songbirds what was I thinking?, me whose studied nature wherever I go for over 50 years. Ffs

What nonsense ! ; )

So basically you ignore all the scientists have concluded and come up with your own conclusion (which by chance happens to fit in with your worldview). Well done.

Please just provide any credible link that any of this is remotely connected to the internet.

The title of this thread is where have all the Insects gone pal. My own view , one supported by expert evidence in a post I made 2 years ago, is just one of the ,imo, many variables contributing to the critical loss of of part of the eco system. Instead of attacking me, you should be welcoming this discussion, and contributing accordingly..
Just a thought pal..

For those posters who deny there is a problem, I urge you to seek out a book by Michael Waterhouse, a book I purchased on its release back in 2004. It's called;

" The Strange Death of British Birdsong "

I know very little about insects, quite a bit about Birds, and my own personal experience is that the dawn chorus ,in many areas has decli ed. Given that many songbirds contribute to to the dawn chorus ,this is a concern. I appreciate lthat some posters may live in areas where the ecosystems are still in full flow, that's great, however the majority of contributors to this thread would agree there is a serious decline in our insect friends.....where will it end is the question, and is there anything we can do to halt the decline ?

Wasps have virtually disappeared this summer/autumn, I've seen the odd one, but normally this is when they are a pain, don't remember many last year either.

We've still had plenty of flies of all sorts, and bees seem to be doing OK, butterflies less so.
Im glad wasps have fucked off - they are cunts

I did contribute by stating what scientists believe are the main reasons for the reduction in number of insects (and internet was not one of them). You then responded by stating my post was nonsense and untruthfully claimed that I was saying there was no decline in insect numbers. Hence my terse reply.
