Where is the single most beautiful place you have been?

Didn't much like the city, but Mulholland Drive looking north over the San Fernando valley at night is a pretty stupendous cityscape. We parked the car there, and stared out over it, trying to understand what this huge place was doing on the edge of the desert.

We were so lucky to get out there last September for our 25th wedding anniversary.
Because of the pandemic there was only 25% occupancy on the island.Also , no boat day trips which can add circa 10 k bodies onto the tiny island.

We stayed in Imorivigli which is the high point village of the crater . We paid £250 per night but because of the circumstances , we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was just incredible.

You just cannot explain the crippling beauty and the light as the sunset approach’s.
It seems to last for ever and you may as well be on another planet.

A more romantic place I would struggle to imagine.
 
Stayed in a village called Hahei in New Zealand. This luxury guest house, the family couldn't have done enough for you. My word, it is the only place I think I have ever woken up and felt at peace. From the little shops, friendly neighbours and that restaurant... wow the food, the drink!! from watching the whales to shooting stars. Then the walk to cathedral cove another breathtaking day, with a boat ride back. I can't wait to return. I can't put a picture up so you'll have to Google.
If anyone gets the chance to go, do it don't hold back. Message me with details of the guest house.
