Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

Wembley but in the Gillingham end. I paid a tout £150 for a ticket with a £13 face value which seemed like an expensive mistake for quite a while. There were quite a few blues in there and I think probably more than 50% of the Gills fans were attending their first match.

Sat next to my good friend who died this year. On the train on the way home I told him at 2 nil I was just waiting for him to say shall we go? He told me he was waiting for me to say it too

Stayed till the glorious end of the match.
We stayed over, and along with a few others ended up getting soaked celebrating in the trafalgar Square fountain.

Very top row behind the goal with two of my mates. Watched Gallagher walk out and saw him come back to what I guess was an ironic cheer. Guy next to me had flown in from Canada and was going straight back. Remember him saying to me, what's the score during penalties. "If this one misses mate, we've won". Bedlam ten seconds later. Great memories.

Wembley, corner flag end, left side of Nicky Weavers Goal for pens. Great view even if I did put my hands over my eyes for edgy's pen. Don't recall seeing him take one before or since, but fair do's to him.
