Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

The one memory that sticks more than any other is boarding the coach after the Penalties and lap of honour and nobody saying a word for an hour.
Everybody was totally shattered, not just due to the obvious raw emotion, but also the sense that nothing would ever be this bad again.
Our coach was similarly silent, except for the lad sat halfway up with a bag of chips cussing because he fucked off 5 minutes before the end. Oh well, we fight to the end and all that.

We was setting up a court room in a pub in the east end for those that left early and we put them on trial we found them guilty and sentence them to hanging haha much to the amusement of the locals ..the same lads plead there innocence today

Went with my Brother & his lad aged 12 who thought he was a Liverpool fan, stayed till the end & so glad we did, never celebrated quite like it, came home with my brother & his lad who was now most definatly a city fan :-)

Wembley, didn’t think once about leaving and right under the hospitality boxes, the ones that had a slanted glass panel. Looked up when we equalised and there was Liam Gallagher starfishes banging on the glass and me thinking he is going to come crashing down on top of me.

We weren't in that glass bit but there were some seats on that top layer too. My old man managed to blag some tickets in there through work for him, me and me brother. Got there and in walks Noel Gallagher with some of his celebrity mates - Keith Allen, the guy who played Gruey, some other low grade actors. He wasnt with Noel but Curly Watts was there too having a few lagers. He was in the paper for excessive boozing at the time. Noel and his lot sat a few seats down from us. He knew the cameras were on him and made a show on 90 mins of leaving when we were 2 nil down. Anyway they came back when it was 2-2 and got dogs abuse from proper City fans. They deserved it. One thing as a city fan you know is not to leave before the end!

I met Noel outside after the game. He was with Goldie and Keith Allen. Shook my hand and was good as gold.
I went with loads of my family and even my mum was dead impressed with him and still mentions how polite he was to us.

I'm sure he would be in better spirits than when we were 2 nil down. It was pure elation at the end. Feels like a lifetime ago.

Bloke sat next to me left at half time. Still not able to fathom that one even after all these years.

Was at the real OT watching England, can't remember who against, had tickets for months anyway as my brother was coming from down south and as l was a Lancs member l watched the game in the bar with no sound
Loads of rags loving it until time added on .
You all know the rest

I was in the Olympic gallery, sat behind Noel Gallagher, Keith Allen and Goldie. Next to us, was Curley Watts. Free ticket, free, coach, free meal, free booze and then after the game, back at the Wembley Hilton, to cheer the team in!!!

We were in there as well. Seemed to be more Gillingham fans around us than City. At 2-0 down there was a bloke trying to console his son saying there's always next season. Absolute chaos when Dickov scored.

Couldn't believe it when Edghill stepped up for the fourth instead of the Goat but still probably the best penalty I've ever seen.
