Where were you on Sunday 30th May 1999 (Gillingham play off game?)

Working! I worked for a 'car dealership' .
The boss was a massive red.
He and 3 others went to the Cl final in midweek (for younger Bluemooners the CL final was played on Wednesday!), so I never thought it'd be a problem.

I'd asked for the weekend off to go to Wembley, after the Wigan game.
Bitter tw&t said 'no'.

Listened to it on one of the car radios and I'd walked away at as injury time started.

One of the lads called kept listening.
I was running around shouting at the top of my voice. Didn't care.

Every time we beat the red ********* I think of that prick and hope he's choking on his Jack Daniels (used to think he was a proper JD drinker when we went out! I reckon he poured it in the plant pots!)
 
At Euro Disney Paris with my two young sons . Saw a fellow blue in a City shirt asked if they knew the score . Told me about the late comeback . Brilliant memories.
 
Eight of us in a limo. Loaded up with booze and whizz. Great day out but couldn't do it now. We'd never make it past Sandbach with the amount of toilet breaks we'd need.
 
The shutters at the old ticket office closed when I was about 3 from the front, so couldn't make Wembley.
Ended up getting kicked out of one of my local pubs for scrapping with Rags who were out on a wind up mission.
Made it home for Super Kev's goal, and we know the rest!
 
Butlins Skegness on a kids football weekend, myself and the brother in law had tickets . Told the wives we’d go down and straight back but they were having none of it .
Nearly had a bit of rough and tumble with some Spurs fans who were cheering the Gills on but they quickly went quiet when they realised how many blues were there , it was full of blues everywhere which made for a cracking night in the club after with pissed up blues singing all night .
Divorced now , should have binned her there and then :) , anyway at least my late brother got my ticket which he always said was one of the best days of his life .
