Whereto from here, Adebayor?

Adebayor has the lazy tag because the Arsenal fans gave it him, and some fucking idiots on here (who obviously don't watch him play) have just decided that he's lazy, despite him charging around the pitch against Blackpool.

I want evidence of his laziness; if that's lazy, then De Jong is a fucking snowman.

Reckon he'll play Thursday but will not play against his old club at the weekend. Toys could be seriously thrown out of the pram. Any thoughts?

He'll go to the next club who pay him Mega money to be below average, bad for the books bad for the dressing room in my opinion.

Wenger saw us coming with him - Can't wait for him to fcuk off in January - Really thought he was the real deal when he made his debut - Wish he could get back to that form but maybe that was all he had to offer

Unfortunately, Adebayor now reminds me of the enigmatic Paulo Wanchope... one brilliant game in six... only Ade is now one brilliant game in 12!

I've tried defending Ade, but after yesterday's non-performance there comes a point in time when enough is enough.

I think he may have one last chance, with the Poznan game on Thursday, and if he fails to deliver then I think that will be it.

I've stated for quite some time now that he'll be off in January, and I've no reason to change that view.

I don't mind loss of form... but I despise when it's combined with lack of effort.

thank god alot of you are having your eyes opened, from day one I've said he should have stayed down south, I've got his bus fare ready !

Is'nt there a cooking forum or a shopping forum you could be spouting off on?

Lack of form I can forgive, lack of desire I can't!

If Silva had been suspended or injured for yesterdays game and wasn't an option to come on for Ade and say Ade played the full 90, we would have lost. He was awful!

From here I don't know what there us for him. We can't afford to have his lack of work, lack of making runs, lack of holding the ball up, lack of winning headers, lack of link-up with Tevez, lack of shots at goal...not because he can't do them, but because he doesn't put enough effort into doing any if them.

Balotelli will be in the squad in the coming weeks, and to be honest I'd rather have Jo than Ade on current showings!

Do you not ask why Arsenal fans gave him the "lazy" tag?

Or, like all the City fans, are they too idiots and it's just you that sees how things really are?

A bit egotistical that view to be honest mate!

While I'm reluctant to ever call him lazy, I would call into question his effectiveness within the current City set-up. He just does not link up well enough with Tevez... it actually limits Tevez's role by playing him.

But the only way Ade is going to prove the manager wrong, the doubters wrong, is to perform whenever the opportiunity is handed to him.

And can you honestly say he has taken that chance?

In fact, tell me the last good game he had. And if you're struggling to think of one this season then maybe that explains why the manager and the fans are so wary of his efforts.

Or is Mancini in the wrong as well? Maybe he's an idiot too...

14 goals last season.

Started 1 game this season.

Yeah, he's shit.

I'm thoroughly pissed off with the complete twattery of some fans. I don't know what you guys know about performance analysis, but if you seem to believe that you're about to hit top form by playing 60 minutes against Blackpool, with a few sub appearances thrown in and one game for the B Team, then you are sadly mistaken.

What the fuck happened to supporting players? Especially those like Adebayor who obviously need it?

Also, this whole idea of laziness stems from Arsenal fans rather than any real opinions of people on here. It's an easy cliche to use. If you look at distance covered statistics, Ade is in front of nearly everybody but Tevez. Or you could, perhaps, watch the game and see how much closing down he does in the final third?

What exactly does this man do to deserve the laziness tag, apart from being a Black African?

I wouldn't say he's lazy at the running about part. He isn't good at it by any means, but he will look like he's closing an opponent down and doing something. But he actually didn't put any if their players under enough pressure to tackle them or make them make a mistake. The worst part of him is when we have the ball, or especially when he has the ball. His effort levels are nil at keepin the ball when it's at his feet, there to be held up, or there for what is sometimes a 70-30 header in his favour - he loses the ball in all these situations!
