I'll be in a pub later in Dublin, there'll be a couple of English mates amongst my group. Maybe they'll be clad in their Englnd gear, maybe they won't but they'll certainly be cheering for England as will a fair number of the Irish in the pub too (and me!).
Ywe, you'll always find a few idiots with exceptions to anything English and the Union Jack (not the St George Flag) evokes certain passions but overall you'll find little real animosity for our near neighbours. Of course, thins will be more sensitive in certain parts of Northern Ireland but you're hardly gonna go down the Shankill waving a tricolour either!
A guy on here started a thread recenly about their being no British flag lined up amongst the other European nations flag outside Dublin airport. Guess what? It ws of course made up, shit stiring, total bullshit. People like to believe what they want though. Now run along boys and get worked up over something else
xx
It isn't bubble bursting mate but if the guy is in Galway and states he's afraid to fly his flag then i have no reason to dis-believe him?
My reaction was because i was shocked and didn't believe it to happen but if you're setting the record straight then i have no problem with it. And if you look at my comments i was questioning it. But it's obviously touched a nerve otherwise you wouldn't have replied like you did.
If you read my post i couldn't give a shite either way i was pointing out the hyporcrisy. Now you run along and learn to read and digest what was said rather than presume that i (as i can't speak for Malc) was having a go at your nation, comprehendi?

Nothing touched a nerve darling, just pointing out the actual story over here. You should come over for a world cup game, we'll paint your face and deck you out in the flag of St George and nobody will batter and eyelid, honest!

Well as i go to the match with mates whom 90% of them are of Irish descendants, and one from the Galway area that's why i questioned it as he's never said anything of the like re flags. But let's not let the truth get in the way of a good rant shall we?

Nice to see though homosexuality has been accepted there with your kisses and darling remarks i suggest you get on 'off topic' as there's a felching thread there you might wish to partake in? xxxx

You are so sensitive in the mornings aren't you Barry? No need for me to get on Off Topic, I'm having my fun here. Speaking of the 'warm glow' Theirry Henry gives you inside as you alluded to earlier, do a lot of men do that for you?

I like the deluded way you think you've wound me up? If i were you i'd give your head a wobble and prepare for you day out in the pub watching the world cup, cheering on England. I'l even lend you a euro or two so you can play '3 lions' in the pub. I'll gladly refund it to you next time you're over here? And yes, Theirry looks lovely in his world cup kit, much better than Robbie Keane would have. Obviously them priests have scarred you for life from past experiences, don't fight it just let it go, you know you want to?
And unfortunately that's it from me on this subject. Have a nice day.
