Which past City player would have prospered most under Pep

Dammit beat me to it, I was so excited to post it too when I saw this thread.

Does Touré count?

I actually think a load of the names mentioned would not have gone on to be Pep players. Pep has a higher bar than most. I think a lot of great former City players whilst having close to the right style never had the right quality. Or the right attitude.

I don't think there would have been many. Benarbia from his time prior to City would have probably made it. I think Pep would get a load out of Tevez albeit with an Eto'o kind of relationship.

There's a couple from way back when that'd probably be good, especially Bell in a KDB role, or Young in the Robben role. But football's changed so much simce then, it's really hard to know what players they'd be if they were around today, even if they were playing in what was then a modern passing system.

Nastasic maybe?
This is absolutely the most correct answer for me. That or Gaz Baz

David White. He'd have got so many chances with the way we play and his speed, not unlike sterling in that regard

Franny Lee.

Would have scored 40 a season with the kind of creativity and opportunities Pep has the lads creating.

Of course, he might only last one game when Pep saw how much effort he would have been willing to put in to close down on the high press! :-)

Balloteli, Barrett, Robinho, Dzeko, Johnson, you name it.

Fuck! Even Milner would.
Balo might have drove him up the wall :') it's completely true, that any of our players would have. I'm sure Accrington, Fleetwood, Barnet, or Berwick Rangers players would improve under Pep, too.

Of all the players Paul Lake is one, perfect Pep player versatile, strong and foremost an intelligent footballer. Lakey would have been Oep’s general on the pitch. There’s lots of others too, but I’d give a shout to Peter Barnes and Gary Owen
