6 games left but into a Champions League Semi-Final, I think we're in a good position to assess which players are no longer good enough for City. I'll try not to be knee-jerk or sit on the fence and there's no place for sentimentality either.

I'll kick us off:

Bony
Demichelis
Kolarov
Delph
Navas*
Toure
Zabaleta

The last 2 have had good spells for City over the years. However I can't see them having another season at City. Particularly sad to see the last 2 go, peak Zaba was absolutely brilliant and he loves this club but we need legs in the full back positions and he's losing his, was alright tonight but this team needs energy. Toure need I say no more, some excellent moments for this club but again his legs have gone.

Adding:
Fernando

Thought about it instead of adding him in the heat of the moment and it really shouldn't take Fernandinho to come back into the side for him to start playing well again. We know the 'Toure, 2 man midfield' problem but Fernandinho plays so much better in that scenario and rarely has a bad game. So Fernando out too for me, he's also too limited as a player.

If Navas is reduced to squad player who comes on to stretch the game and keep possession i'd consider keeping him. However, in the future, our right wingers need to contribute goals and assissts, something he doesn't do enough of.

The last 3 have had good spells for City over the years. However I can't see them having another season at City. Agree with all of those, and even though he's only 21 I'd add Sterling to the list. Easily pushed over, couldn't trap a medicine ball, slow of thought, I will be genuinely astonished if Pep reckons him good enough

i'd take Zaba off that purely as he's only suffering more down to age and injuries now. A legend that i would keep for his leadership example and desire for the club. The rest i agree with and would throw Fernando in there, hasnt cut it for me, plays hot and cold too much for a team like City.

Nobody should be judged under such a poor manager. Pep would have walked the league with this squad.

Kolarov, Delph, Fernando, Mangala, Bony and Navas won't be here next season.

Bony - just brings nothing
Demichelis - past it
Kolarov - never has been able to defend - an absolute liability
Delph - brings nothing other than that he is English - get rid
Navas - headless chicken....he just cant beat a man or put in a cross.

Zabba is struggling but he could come back good and be a useful back up over the next couple of seasons but no longer a certain starter

Yaya is gone anyway but he cant play two games in such quick succession.

The scary thing is that you're looking at the majortiy of the squad with that question. Just another reminder of how shit Txiki has been at his job.

Definitely finished: Caballero, Zabaleta, Demichelis, Kolarov, Bony

Will only know for sure after Pep's first season: Otamendi, Mangala, Fernando, Delph, Sterling, Navas.

There's some players who should be given a shot under Pep but the ones who I feel aren't good enough are Kolarov, Demichelis, Bony, Delph, Fernando and probably Navas. Yaya I feel is too petulant for Pep and Zab is regressing but not sure what will be done with them. The ones who I feel should be given some Pep time are Sterling, Mangala, Otamendi. Whilst the rest I feel are definitely good enough.
