Argentina 78, 9 years old, the world was a different place then with no internet and wall to wall football. All of these new players and sides i had never seen before. The whole spectacle was amazing with stadiums full of ticker tape.

100%Is it just me or did every one post the 1990s become bland and boring. I struggle to remember anything about them.
The 1990 was brilliant for the Maradona story, England, Cameroon and in Ireland it was bedlam.
94 was good, bebeto, Romario and Baggio although I've heard from people who went the Americans didn't know it was on.
98 and even 2000 Euros for that qaulity French team and Zidane at his peak.
2002 was such poor qaulity, the German an Brazilian teams bang average. SA was slightly better but not by much. That for me was the tournament England should have won.
All in all we have not had a tournament really grip like the ones in the 90s.
There was a good euros in there, the one with Arshavin.

Italia 90 was the best. I also loved Mexico 86. I've not really been arsed about any since.
