Who’s gone in the summer?

So if we could get a lot of money for Stones, which would give us more leeway to spend elsewhere, you would be against it? Considering Pep doesn't seem to trust him at all anymore, personally I would bite their hands off.

To answer your question, I do agree with the english factor. I would perhaps use this season to see if Garcia was ready to be trusted with as many minutes as a back-up option would get. I think a new top cb is a must anyway, and Otamendi is probably going so thats one spot available. If we feel the need to add a 2nd foreign cb I guess Merlin and (probably) Fernas spot could be used for that, considering Foden would effectively replace Silva.

I don't think selling John should be a priority but should definitely be explored if a good offer presented itself. Would like to hear your opinion.
Stones`s injuries and his habit of making mistakes on his come backs are a problem, but we play differently when he plays, we use Ederson far more and have better composure, finding a better English player may well be impossible but we need a Kompany replacement, Stones needs a push and the kids are not good enough i would buy Milenkovic in January, as for selling Stones no one would buy him no one plays our way

Why do you see Jesus going. In my opinion, if a striker is going, it's probably Aguero and not Jesus.

One is 30 something and on the wane, the other is about to hit his prime and full of energy.

How people can't see which one is the superior choice baffles me.
Because I do not think Pep see's him as a long term solution for Augero.

His value is now high and I think the club would be happy to move him on and bring in Martinez.

I agree. Can’t see him leaving in the summer. Maybe the year after that, but not now. We have too many problems to let him go just yet. He’ll stay as 3rd or 4th choice, depending on his form.
That's the only reason he will stay ie HG, says a lot about the current state of our CB options.

Yep. As bad as he is, I don’t see the club selling him and replacing his spot with Garcia (HG). If they sell him, we’d only end up trying to find another English centre back to waste £50m-£60m on. Well, I say that but after Maguire, the going rate is even higher than that now. We may as well just keep Stones to be honest. At least for one more year as a backup.

Completely agree, but even as back up JFS makes me worry.

Is Fernandihno likely to leave? I wonder if Arteta would be interested as a cheap option, someone who knows exactly how Arteta is trying to play, and with big question marks over Torriera & Xhaka's future.....??
