He has a .39 goals per game the last 2 years
Gabby has a . 46 per game average in the same Period.

Gabby scores at a higher clip. Too many just don't respect how good Gabby is.

Jesus is a confidence player, in my opinion has too much self doubt, his scoring record at the Etihad in the last 6 months is appalling.

Martinez has the look and attitude of a man who has no doubts, if he misses a chance, he just gets on with his game , Jesus lets the misses affect him badly.

Yet Gabby scores at a higher clip than he does. Martinez is bit like Dybala. Can have magical moments but is painfully one footed, loose with his technique and not an intensity footballer.

While I admit he is still developing, and can turn out a star, so far all o see is an Arsenal level player. Finesse but loose.

I thought we had learnt our lesson on this but clearly not.
I like that we have a policy that doesn't allow teams to try and have our pants down with ridiculous prices but our tactic of 'not spending unless we get a world class player on the cheap and then hoping for the best that everyone stays fit' isn't clever. Especially not when Pep refuses to play our youth and prefers to play our experienced squad members out of position instead.
Hopefully Laporte's injury will be a lesson to us. We refused to spend money on a CB in the summer and it cost us massively. Major, major cock up!!
