Maybe a difference between skill, fitness, and athleticism? I always wonder if decathletes end up not doing a single event because they are great at everything, or just not outstanding at anything?
Decathletes will record times or distances that would get them at least to at best maybe a semi final of any Olympic or World championship tournament except for the last event, 1500m, they all seem to huff and puff their way through that one, legs have probably gone by then though.
