Not so much obsessed but for a debut single this is probably best thing for a while I've heard
Plenty of good stuff though that when played gets turned up but if I had to say a band at present I won't turn off it would be Squid.
Calexico are very much still around. Funnily enough, I was just going to recommend that @hilts write down Calexico on his list (recommended albums "The Thread That Keeps Us", "Algiers" and especially the song "Crystal Frontier").Ah, Americana. Used to listen to lots of stuff when bands like Calexico, 16Horsepower, Slim Cessna's Auto Club and Giant Sand were around.
Amongst many other good tracks, yes.Alcoholic?
Great band. Was sad to see them split up but worth checking out Hayden Thorpes and Tom Flemings solo albumsWild Beasts View attachment 22150
Agree about the wet leg single, there are a couple of live clips on you tube of some of their other stuff. The Wet Leg single has been played to death on 6 but is a proper earworm but I'm interested to see what the next single is like. Squids album is one of the best debuts this year as well
I like the Dry Cleaning album but not for everyone I agree. If you like Squid try Black Country,New Road as wellAgree about the wet leg single, there are a couple of live clips on you tube of some of their other stuff.
I felt the same way when I first heard dry cleanings scratch card lanyard, it sounded like they had promise, but not been keen on the stuff released since. Not heard squids, will check it out.
Will do nick, cheers.I like the Dry Cleaning album but not for everyone I agree. If you like Squid try Black Country,New Road as well
