Think you’re right.dont think we will replace him, existing attackers will just get more game time and we invest our cash on two CBs, LB + RB if Cancelo leaves. Aouar too maybe.

I am sure someone will have already flagged this up, but Almada can play wide .....if the deal is done ....Think you’re right.
Said myself I think if we do bring in a forward it will be somebody young that can play across the front 3, playing on the left if required for now but with a longer term view of playing more centrally when Aguero goes. Don’t know if Almada is that man myself, never seen him, a couple of posters have said it’s done, so maybe. Think that sort of signing more likely than straight replacement though.I am sure someone will have already flagged this up, but Almada can play wide .....if the deal is done ....
Like I said before, when Phil plays "wide left" Pep will use more patters of play. Zincheko took up the wing a lot and played balls centrally to Silva who would try to link up with Phil who was also tucked in. Pep knows one of Phil's biggest strengths is his goal scoring and will try to find ways to bring him centrally. I suspect Aouar would do what Silva did, but Aouar being right footed could also shoot from those positions Silva was in.Well if you ask me, Foden played pretty well wide left tonight...
Obviously think we still need someone (Sancho) but its nice to see the boy wonder develop a bit more adding another skill to his immense talent
Joining evertonJust realised Ryan Fraser is available on a free. Obviously not Sane standard but potentially the right level to be a backup to Raheem and to be settled.
Sometimes positions are not relative. When Phil plays on paper as a left winger he doesn't always occupy that space. I've seen games where he was more central where Dave would be with Mendy higher up on the right. Within an attack positions can change and players need to dovetail. I've seen Mahrez more central with Kev out wide. I've seen Dave out wide. I've seen Kev on the left with Dave.
Pep will probably use more patterns of play to attack when Phil is penciled in as the "left winger". I could see patters of play where Aouar receives the ball out wide and Phil making an underlapping run to the byline kind of like what Kev does on the right for example or vice versa where Aouar makes that run.
I don't think getting a left winger would be the best thing if they aren't as good as Sane. Everyone will be quick to blame and say he's not a winger when it doesn't come off, but would you be quick to blame if the left winger didn't have a good game because he's not good enough? I said it before, but Dave is the lynchpin on the left. We've been going through him when we start attacks on the left. Aouar will probably be that guy if we can get him and also eventually take over for Gundogan when we play a 2 man midfield or also play as a #6. Probably more of a priority for Pep. It can change the dynamic of our attacks and probably be better for us against the likes of Liverpool and teams that press well.
