Why are you so convinced he couldn't play LW? His assist statistics are pretty damn good considering he's playing LB, LW and RW on occasion this season in all competitions. His delivery and consistency of delivery look remarkably good for an 18 year old, usually consistency is the biggest problem at that age. I'm not saying he won't go through tough periods or that he won't suffer dips in form because he absolutely will, it's inevitable at some stage but I don't understand the concept of him being unable to play LW.

It is not a case of not being able, he obviously can but to what standard, i watched Sane and Sterling at that age and younger, and they were better with the ball and faster, the lad that replaced Sterling at liverpool was quality it just did not work out for him, it is all about making the most of opportunity Hudson Odi is better but who is Englands left back?, Ashley Cole was the last decent one, and what we have now is rubbish

Saka played most of the games as LB
Dare I say it but Saka playing LB in our team could put up the assist numbers Liverpool get from Full Backs.
I think at LB he would also allow Phil or Jesus to play inside Left by providing the overlap.
Not seen enough of him to see if he could come inside (which is the issue Cancelo has).

That‘s definitely true. I don‘t watch many Arsenal games but I don‘t see him as talented ( at least on the offense) as Sané and Sterling. The thing is Sané tore the Bundesliga up at the same age and literally carried Schalke for a time while Saka is obviously a promising rising talent but imo not the perfect replacement for Sané - if there‘s even one.Very true, that's a very valid point. Personally I see him more as a future LB maybe our Alexander Arnold if he thrives in our system and that would be nice too.
