Sunderland of course, let's not get ahead of ourselves - the easier the final the more chance of being able to rest players if we're ahead by a few goals.

Eh? The rags will be an easier game, bogey side Sunderland set out to make it hard for us to break them down, rags will be more open. Their players have had success playing this way against us, they know they can do it again.

I would still rather play Sunderland, for non-footballing reasons as previously explained. I also don't want the press giving it 'The Manchester Final' treatment either. I just want us to go about our way playing the tremendous football that we are playing without this distraction and hopefully picking up the first trophy of more than one this season. This is provided that we don't put out the youth team out in the return leg against West Ham, although I fancy MCFC Ladies to come away with a 1-1 draw.

A Rag free day please. They're a set of utter cûnts and don't want to be anywhere near them at any time. I even hate derby day because I have to breathe the air they breathe, makes me feel ill.

I'd only get myself in trouble if it's against them anyway.

Absolutely,over two legs we would beat them no problem,a one off game throws up all sorts of permutations,remember we were huge favourites against wigan and look what happened.also the fact that the majority of their fans would be more interested in looking for fights before the game,and more so after if we won,its a no from me....<br /><br />-- Wed Jan 08, 2014 11:39 pm --<br /><br />

The only upside to it being the rags is that keeping Gollum in the chair over there is probably something we want happening. Them going out to the Mackems in the second leg might push him off the ledge.

Also, in all sincerity, I bet that would be an easier game. They'd come at us to at least some extent and we would lacerate them about 800 ways. Mackems would do what they always do and it would be a grind.

As a long, long, long time City supporter I have suffered too much over the decades at the hands of the Scum.

Even though my brain tells me we can now easily slaughter them in a Wembley final, my years of conditioning warn me against risking the psychological damage that would ensue should they cheat their way to a lucky victory over us in the one off match.
