Who do you want to take a penalty

I think the best record in the Prem belongs to some bloke from the Channel Islands.
I used to work in Southampton and saw Le Tissier a lot - he was the most effortlessly skilful player I've ever seen, given that he did it week in, week out and seemed to single handedly keep them up.

He had some strange views though, but not as strange as Glenn fucking Hoddle - only 8 England caps was a fucking pisstake!

He seems preoccupied with other stuff at the moment. But I always wonder when I see his name, will he look back one day with regret that he never really tested himself to be the best player he possibly could?

Or will he just be happy that he was good enough to play stress free football for a living for his local( ish ) club, all his career?

The conservative nature of England managers persists with waistcoat. FA blazers have a lot to answer for.

Good post on Facebook today. City have been awarded a penalty with one minute to go.Who do want to take it to win the game from :-

Carlos Tevez
Sergio Aguero
Mario Balotelli
Yaya Toure
Erling Haaland.

Its a tough one but I think Mario may have been the coolest guy I have ever seen under pressure so I’ll go for him.

Anyone else not not on the list jumping out at you ?
Yaya for me, dont think he ever missed one I can remember ? Best I’ve ever seen taking pens .. Keepers never got near em..

Mario.

The one against Spurs always sticks in the memory. Rain belting it down, 93rd min penalty, hows your nerves.

As has been mentioned, I can only presume that had Sergio gone down against QPR and won a penalty, Mario could have stepped up and scored and completely changed his entire career. Crazy to think about.

I was thinking about Franny. His philosophy was to hit it as hard as possible and if the keeper gets in the way he goes in the net with the ball. I don’t remember him missing many.
This may have become one of those memories that have become slightly embellished with the passing of time and the decline in memory but I'm sure I remember him skewing one so wide it narrowly missed the corner flag against Burnley (it might have been in the 7-0 but then again might not have even happened). Anyway, Yaya, Mario and Elano are probably the only guys I've ever not been concerned about when it comes to penalties!

Mario or YaYa, never felt sure it would be a goal with the others
