Who has a cushy job?

Hate my job. Most of the time it's easy, but it's not what I want to do and it fucks me right off. There's more important people in my life than me though and the job looks after them. I love my own business, hopefully one of these days it'll take off and I can give the job the boot.

I'm a university lecturer. Easiest and most relaxing job I've ever had.
Looked at it a while ago, 70k euro+ and easy enough working conditions, don't know why I turned it down tbh.

I earn 50k, work from home (apart from wednesdays when I have to drive to London) Have a piss easy job that takes about an hour of my time each day, so I can walk the dog, sort the baby out etc...

Everyone says I'm on a cushy number, but I reckon a cushy number is doing something you love that gives you satisfaction everyday. Not many people get that, which is a shame. We shouldn't program our kids to copy us, we should be making sure they do what makes them happy.
Crikey, what do you do?

i do 4 12 hour shifts 6pm til 6 am and 6 hours on a Friday night. Work non stop and we only have 40 minutes break in total. Proper manual job but the money is decent. More to life than money though! Always wanted to be an archaeologist but it's nothing but a pipe dream!
No time like the present, make the first step.

I have a family to support mate, I am letting her study to be a midwife so at least one of us is happy eh! I will always be a grafter till I die I reckon. Could have been so much more but certain situations happened that affected me.

I wish her all the best with that dream but,i'm sad to say,in that role,I wouldn't be putting money on her future happiness.

The plan is to upsticks to Canada, so I can continue carpentry over there on proper $$$ and she can get herself into a hospital hopefully. I'm sick of agencys and employers treating staff like slaves, it's getting worse. The Polish i work with get exploited and any who speak out are fucked off sharpish.

Great plan Scotty.

The NHS are a shocking employer.

This country is fucked imo, especially where the working class are concerned, get out if you have the opportunity.

I do a lot of computer stuff. There is no one really capable of verifying my work in terms of time it takes to accomplish objectives, but I do reach them. Some of it is really hard. For instance, I have to annually analyse some 50 million lines of data for a major report to a government department.

I recently built an Access database for use by another team. I had the pleasure of badging it with the City logo so all the users have the crest on their task bar all day. My United fan colleague is most annoyed by this, but he ain't smart enough to change it.

During slack times I get to torment others. I have this programme on a shared drive which I managed to install as a start up option for my red colleague. His PC plays the Windows shutdown sound randomly, and our IT people can't work out how it is done. He gets to hear Bluemoon whenever his PC is turned on.

All in all, work is OK. Pay isn't bad, and I am pretty much trusted to manage myself.

If we could have a thread for work pranks, I could write a whole chapter.
