Who is your favourite/the greatest human?

I’m not religious, and the term ‘greatest’ can be subject to multiple interpretations, but in terms of impact on the world it’s got to be Jesus Christ and the prophet Mohammed, surely. They’ve both completely changed the course of human history, in terms of scope and longevity, in a way that will be unsurpassed, most likely - for better or worse.

No proof they existed mate.

Totally disagree about Jesus. I like the Life of Brian idea, scores of people stood around moralising and preaching and the people picked one. I would add that the educated then, over the centuries, twisted it to suit their version until we have today's christianity.
I do not know enough about Muhammed to comment on him.

Lots of good has come of him too
But as GDM points out, "greatest" needs defining if only for the purposes of this thread.

Disagree about what? Wherever the truth lies about what he said or did, he’s impacted on human history more than pretty much anyone. That cannot be dismissed, irrespective of how his message has been manipulated and exploited since.

Great buildings have been built, territories conquered and wars fought in his name, but you’d rather adopt the story contained in a mildly amusing film from 40 odd years ago as…err… gospel?

Whatever the subsequent forces at work, his life, his message, has discernibly and hugely changed the course of human history. If that doesn’t make someone ‘great’, then I don’t know what does.
