Who misses the football special?

The last special I got was to Forest away 1990 when Crosby sneaked behind Andy Dibble and nodded the ball out of his hand and put it in the net.
I remember Blues being crammed into a cage at the train station.
My last special was against Derby where we lost 6-0 in November 1989. The police were taking the piss out of us as we were marched back to the station.

I would have loved to travel to the swamp on a special getting off right outside the shithole......now that would be interesting

On the pitch at the end with the palace fans

YOUR GONNA WIN THE CUP!!
Remember everybody buying palace scarves and hats to wear the following week for the final . Myself and brother in law bought palace hats , went to our local to watch the final and as they kicked off we put our hats on , let’s just say we upset a few rags

My mind playing tricks on me here. In 1990 i got a train from cheadle hulme to an old toilet derby, 100% from cheadle hulme and it was rammed with blues.
As we passed through levenshulme i was advised to keep my head down as a few windows went through from reds on the platform. In my head we got off at a station for (what seemed ) a short walk to the ground but couldnt say what station that could have been on that line?

Quite possible. The specials to Old Trafford Halt mainly just ran from Piccadilly and Oxford Road but they did have spells where they tried extending regular services from places like Crewe and Stoke to carry on to and from the ground. Not had any services running up there at all now for several years.

There was a special train put on for Portsmouth away, the penultimate game of the season when we went up at Blackburn. Nightmare. Took about 6 hours and there was no booze.
