Me. I missed the football special once. It was Leicestet away for a cup game.
Not sure when the last official special ran, but City sold tickets for about three carriages on a Picc to Euston train for QPR away in 97-98. Buffet was out of booze by Stoke. When was the last football special train ?
My last special was against Derby where we lost 6-0 in November 1989. The police were taking the piss out of us as we were marched back to the station. The last special I got was to Forest away 1990 when Crosby sneaked behind Andy Dibble and nodded the ball out of his hand and put it in the net.
I remember Blues being crammed into a cage at the train station.
Remember everybody buying palace scarves and hats to wear the following week for the final . Myself and brother in law bought palace hats , went to our local to watch the final and as they kicked off we put our hats on , let’s just say we upset a few ragsOn the pitch at the end with the palace fans
YOUR GONNA WIN THE CUP!!
My mind playing tricks on me here. In 1990 i got a train from cheadle hulme to an old toilet derby, 100% from cheadle hulme and it was rammed with blues.I would have loved to travel to the swamp on a special getting off right outside the shithole......now that would be interesting

As we passed through levenshulme i was advised to keep my head down as a few windows went through from reds on the platform. In my head we got off at a station for (what seemed ) a short walk to the ground but couldnt say what station that could have been on that line?
Yes. My Dad went on it.Wasn’t there a special for the play off final?
