We are going to have a job next season finding two more replacements (Fern and Silva)
Even when our midfield was at its best we were easily bypassed by both Liverpool and United in that second half.
We're now even more reliant on Fernandinho and Silva with no Yaya, so how do you plug that gap?
I've no idea how good Jorginho is/was, but considering the club pursued him for four months and then got gazumped it seems like we've dropped a bollock missing out on him.
Failing to sign a CM this summer is going to cost us IMO.

What’s everyone’s honest opinion ? Have we done enough this window or do we still need to strengthen . I think we still need one or 2 players. Would like a 3rd striker to come in and compete with sergio and gabby because I still thought we missed loads of chances last season even though we hammered it. Think we defo need a midfield cover ferdy as if he gets injured we have a problem. Before all the smart arse answers come on remember we’re all city but we have different opinions on how we go about this season

Tbh I am easy either way now. If we did bring someone in they have to be the right player. The squad is mostly settled and I think we are at foreign capacity. So it’s a fine balance.. with the squad rules for CL and PL etc. If we sign another foreign player then one has to leave as we are at max I think of 17. So any new players have to be better than what we have , club trained or under 21? I think that’s right. Anyway it’s more complicated than just getting bodies in. Whatever Pep, Txiki, et al do is fine by me even though I am a bit apprehensive about Fernandinho lasting the whole season playing week in week out.

We have finished rebuilding, now it is all fine tuning. We do not need "squad" players, so the players we get need to be perfect additions. If they are not available for whatever reason, we need to wait until they are.
The mid and long term transfer planning is well ahead of our rivals, we have not made a major mistake for a while, while signing a strong of what now look like bargains.

Dont why everyone goes on about Kante, firstly I think he struggles if he is faced with a couple of attacking midfielders, never been impressed against Silva and KDB. More importantly I think he is probably pretty low down on Peps idea of a deep midfielder. We arent going to buy someone whole play that much alongside Fernandinho if we buy someone they be seen as an eventual replacement for him and Kante isnt right for that. Last but not least dont think Chelsea want to sell him.
He wouldn't last 5 minutes with us. Forever leaving his foot in or just running into someone. Gets away with loads of niggly fouls.
