Who now then?...

I personally think we are a bit short in midfield in terms of Fernandinho and his ability to keep on going. That said I think Mahrez could be Player of the Year and Gomez could surprise us all.

Attack wise Mahrez will firm us right up. He looks for the pass as much as the shot and is rather fast. I imagine Bernado will benefit a few goals from this let alone Sergio and Jesus. For Fernandinho i think Delph is more than good enough, he is very intelligent and marshals his area of the pitch very well so we are fine there also for my money.

Only short in the later stages of Champs League.

Over 38 games don't think anyone gets near us although I don't see us getting 100 points.

We are short on a World class CM & can Jesus score us 25 goals????

CF is next year's target IMO so unless we can get Pjanic for less than the asking price then go for it.

Kovacic or Nzonzie is a no go for me we have Delph, Gomez or even Stones can do a job.

It has to be Worldy players or save money for next year's departures of City's great or greats.

We 100% still need a quality DM/CM. If we want to win all 4 trophies then the midfield has to be good enough in all rotations.

A third striker would be nice, but you would think Mahrez now can provide cover there also.

Apart from that we're done.

If we spent most of last transfer window trying to sign Fred and most of this one trying to sign Jorginho someone thinks we need a midfielder and I would tend to agree.
Fern is great but he occasionally looks tired when heavily played and he's been at the World Cup. if
If we don't get him I think Gundog is a step down defensively and Delph not as adept at distribution, still we'll see.

Think we should have a look at Claudio Gomes in pre season before giving a final opinion, but in my opinion we have not stengthened as much as I wanted to (yet). With Fernandinho being 33, and the fact that he hasn't really had a rest for a very long time, makes me a little bit nervous about the DM position. I like Gundogan, but too often he seems to be afraid of tackling, probably because of earlier injuries. Delph was fantastic as LB last season, and I honestly believe Mendy will struggle to retain the LB spot on a regular basis. Heard people who suggest trying to try Danilo or Stones (even I have suggested him), but since Pep haven't played any of them in that position, there's probably a good reason for that. That leaves us with Fernandinho (33, tired after a long season and WC?) and Gundogan (big step down defensively, might be used more offensively as cover for Merlin or KDB). Mahrez is our only first team signing, and even though he will do great here, I still don't think we have strengthened enough. I'm hoping for a new defensive midfielder, but I trust Pep, and if he believes we have enough, we probably have
