Who now then?...

So clearly this means we're sticking with what we've got because "we've got the crown"

-or-

We still have targets lined up, the window isn't over yet and we've got "the plan" and "gas in the tank"

-or-

We're the deluded foolhardy arrogant imbecile at the centre of the narrative whose arrogance is setting them up for a huge fall precipitated by their failure to learn from past mistakes.

Glad that's sorted.

I sincerely hope you're not insinuating that more than one outcome could be hidden in the message depending on the final outcome of said topic....

Gift us another hint!
Keep up mate. It couldn’t be more obvious. As soon as he heard, on the grapevine, that they’d signed George Evans, Txiki’s quickly nipped in under the radar, (before the rush starts), & put in a cut price £80m, take it or leave it, offer to Sunderland for Lee Catamole

We need at least one more, just to look after Fernandino a bit, he's been good with injuries, but he's always prone to a booking and suspension.

If there is a chance of Kante he'd do a great job for us for a couple of seasons, imagine him and Ferni playing together against tough teams.

Still worry about Jesus and Sergio as well both have missed games over the last two seasons.

Dont why everyone goes on about Kante, firstly I think he struggles if he is faced with a couple of attacking midfielders, never been impressed against Silva and KDB. More importantly I think he is probably pretty low down on Peps idea of a deep midfielder. We arent going to buy someone whole play that much alongside Fernandinho if we buy someone they be seen as an eventual replacement for him and Kante isnt right for that. Last but not least dont think Chelsea want to sell him.

Perhaps it has to do with this? Although I get the feeling we will wait to see what happens then try to low ball them like we tried with Napoli and Chelsea will swoop him up.

We didn’t low ball anyone mate, we agreed terms/a fee, and were then totally sh*t upon, big time, by some, or all, of the other parties involved.
My view, in hindsight of course, is that Napoli were never going to sell to us anyway, but were merely using us as a pawn in their game to gat a better deal for Sarri from the chavs.

And should any other club wish to try it on with us in similar fashion, during the last 3 weeks of this window, then we will, quite rightly imo, walk away again.

Even when our midfield was at its best we were easily bypassed by both Liverpool and United in that second half.

We're now even more reliant on Fernandinho and Silva with no Yaya, so how do you plug that gap?

I've no idea how good Jorginho is/was, but considering the club pursued him for four months and then got gazumped it seems like we've dropped a bollock missing out on him.

Failing to sign a CM this summer is going to cost us IMO.
