Flitty scored the first I saw in a 2-0 defeat of Wimbledon at home on a cold November night in 1994. I was 14 & I never looked back after this!

Just read the match report online & hearing names like Summerbee(Jnr), Beagrie, Alan Kernaghan & Andy Hill, takes me back!

The first goal scored by a City Player was by Harry Dowd who was a goalkepper for city in the 1960's. If I remember correctly it would be round the 1964/65 season at Maine Road. Harry Dowd broke a fingerand swapped places with 1 of the other players so that we didn't use asub and scored the equaliser against Bury. Bury's goal that day was scored by Colin Bell.
