I suppose it depends where you sit. If you’re right leaning then you can’t trust anybody now that the Tory party has gone to shit. If you’re centrist then you hate what the Tories have become and understand that a change is necessary so a vote for anything other than Tory will do. And, if you’re left leaning then you hate anything Tory or Labour but will go with the lesser of 2 evils, if pushed.

Just my take, won’t apply to all.

The only way this may change is if its Truss then she is an awful performer and may turn a lot of people off. The more you see the less you like. Even if she is the choice of the Daily Mail, Sun, Express, Telegraph etc. If anyone is going to mess up the campaign its her.

PM if up against Sunak seems to be the members choice but the above press that likes Truss and is proping her up does not like PM. If they all fall in behind Sunak then it would be a long summer for her.

Sunak and Truss pulled out of the sky debate wonder why?!

Thought penny would piss it but looks lot a closer now..
 
I honestly cannot understand why anyone would be impressed by Kemi Badenoch. She comes across as someone as lacking gravitas, experience, assuredness and compassion.

Her responses have always been weak and sometimes ill advised. It was certainly naive to accuse Sunak of not effectively managing £17bn of financial support for Covid. She has essentially accused the Government she worked in of wasting public money. I would imagine her candid "I warned you" may well be picked up in the Covid enquiry.
 
Tuesday evening's live television debate on Sky News between the Conservative Party leadership candidates has been cancelled.

Two of the three candidates currently leading in the MPs ballots - Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss - have confirmed to Sky News that they do not want to take part.

Conservative MPs are said to be concerned about the damage the debates are doing to the image of the Conservative Party, exposing disagreements and splits within the party.
