Rishi's early start means he is Twitter's target du-jour. A good pasting is being had.
This is the problem. Getting any positive noise in the current environment will be very difficult.
Many Tory MP's will wish so badly they'd appointed a caretaker.

Anyway, amidst all the noise, not one eulogy for what might have been .... Steve Baker, formerly head of the pro-unneccesarily brutal Brexit "European Research Group", then the anti-COVID measures "COVID Research Group", followed by his brief lived Thatcher Nostalgia Research Group, has abandoned his latest venture, the Baker-For-Leadership Research Group.
He's stepping aside to offer his backing to Suella Bravermann, on the basis of - according to his statement - the emergence of warm, professional feelings.
Also, because having two candidates with the same initials could be confusing for Tory Voters. Similair reasoning is thought to be behind calls for Javid to step down to 'leave the path clear' for Sunak. Although, they don't have the same initials. So you wonder just why some are concerned that confusion could arise. In Tory Voters. Don't you.
