Who was the last Rock n roll star?

Can someone define Rock and Roll too? Is it Elvis or Buddy Holly? Is it Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd? Is it Kiss or Gun's & Roses? Is it Queen or The Cure? Is it Oasis or The Stone Roses?

All have different sounds and styles.

When someone says Rock and Roll I have and Elvis/Buddy Holly image in my head.
It’s not a musical genre. It’s an attitude.

When he died there was a guy on the radio in a "Did you ever meet Lemmy?" slot.

He met him by chance in the hotel bar in the afternoon before the gig.
"Alright Lemmy, can I buy you a drink?"
"JD"
"Single or double?"
"Bottle"
Twenty minutes later bottle drunk and Lemmy off to do sound check.
I met him and sat at the bar for a drink, but will raise the drink with Lemmy stakes by adding the bar was his 'home 'bar Rainbow Bar and Grill.
P.S he never paid, but then I don't think he did that much :)
That said I don't think he was the last Rock Star, there will always be Rock stars.

I remember seeing a documentary once, where he gets invited to drive a German tank.
He rocks up wearing a full ss uniform ha ha.
His gaff was full of war memorabilia, most of it nazi related. bonkers he was, but what a character.
Always made me smile when I saw his bass, he'd had the lettering changed on the headstock to "rickenbastard"
He's sadly missed.

Oddly just got an ad at the top of this page for classic rock t-shirts featuring Phil Lynott. There was a rock star, not the last but a rock star all the same.

We’re Scottish.
No different to anyone from anywhere else. Everywhere you go people are pretty much the same.

There are no young British, American, Aussie, or Kiwi (or anywhere else) lads who are rock’n’roll stars. Same in football, no characters in football anymore.

Young men are very bland and soft these days.
