Who Will Pose A Threat Next Season

That's why in the summer we have to be motivated to win the CL and buy accordingly.United will be a huge threat next year and different to this year and its likely one of the top 5 will not be playing Champs Lge football next year giving them more opportunities to prepare.
The standard of the league below the top 5/6 is pretty poor and so if a side gets on a good run they can be difficult to catch.
Also the big test for ourselves is how we motivate ourselves next year. Teams can easily drop their level and we saw that only last week against Basel. That more than anything else is likely to influence if we retain the trophy.

Think this is the first time Mourinho has failed to win the league title in his second season at a club. He's not the same manager anymore, the longer he stays there the better.United are on the verge of a mourinho implosion

just wondering do we need a plan B to retain the title next season, maybe buy a tall striker for a more direct approach, I dont know how Pep will set up for both champions league & premier league glory but I think we need to be more pragmatic, your thoughts on this, because pundits are tipping us/Pep to build a dynasty, wanting us to fail of course.

It seems strange that the only two teams to beat city in the league have then gone on to lose their very next game to the divisions bottom placed club.
It's almost like they have had to put so much into that performance against city that they hadnt anything left in the tank the next game...
Or alternatively, they have realised that victory was the pinnacle of their league season and then stopped playing/trying....the true definition of mercenary football players, playing for their own pride and not for their fans.

Let's enjoy and party these last few games first. We will just play better in the style we are succesful in right now.

We do play a brand that it is tiring for oppositions and obviously takes a lot out of our players as well.
The amount of sustained running required now is much greater than under RM and MP and the opposition who is fittest and has the best run with injuries with having a fair degree of quality and mental strength to stay in the game when things are not looking so great will always challenge.
I don't think any one side will dominate year in year out as far as challenging for the title.
This year was exceptional and we were the only side going to win it from the outset as it turned out , most other years will be closer but we will be in the hunt most years and are best placed to continue that.
