Who Will Pose A Threat Next Season

Biggest threat is ourselves and not just what could be self inflicted as I think Pep will be all over that unlike Mancini and Pellers in the past.

I'm more concerned that we start the season many players short due to the world cup and injury.

I think Liverpool will start like a train as physically they look the best at the moment and are for me our closest rivals.

Spurs will have a similar season as to last season.

Arsenal will be better but still don’t have enough quality to challenge over a full season.

Chelsea’s challenge time will come next season I feel. I think it will take Sarri - like Pep - a season to implement and adapt his ideas.

United could go either way. Implosion or a challenge.

Liverpool. They got the media behind them and if it all snowballs I think they have enough momentum to go for our records from last season. Seriously.

Nah. Salah showed he’s a soft touch, every decent defender will grapple him to ground time and time again. It’ll ruin his game with minor injuries. Look at the treatment DeBruyne got.......except he isn’t a shithouse. They’ll be no where near 100 points.

Laughable.....i’ll Tell you this , they won’t break one single record we set last year , not one .

We and Liverpool will be miles ahead of the rest. The scousers can't afford an injury to Salah though whereas we have proved we can cope without Sergio. It's going to be an epic season. Chelsea are an unknown quantity and could come good under their new manager.

With no Champions League distraction and new managers, both Chelsea and Arsenal have the advantage over other rivals. They will play their reserves in the Europa League for sure.

Arsenal and Chelsea will both be in transition so no threat there unless you start badly.

Tottenham have signed no one so if they weren’t good enough the last three seasons there is no good reason to suggest they will be a threat this one. They are Muriel in Muriel’s Wedding.

Man U, can’t see it, unhappy players, dislike of youth and the most disliked tool of a manager to boot.

Liverpool is where your threat is, if they get into their stride early and score a few they could well push you hard.

Outside of that, no one will break in. I believe we have a chance of the top 8 but there is no one else capable of putting together a string of results.

Yours to lose, I believe is the expression.

Sorry I get what you mean but the use of this termanology is not how I hope our fanbase goes, too much like the ****s over the road.

Sometimes a team with player less gifted than ours will beat us fair n square as happens all the time im the game.
I’m sorry if you took that out of context. I was simply trying to use a well worn phrase. Indeed, if you understand my sentiment, I’m saying that the lower table teams will be the very ones that make or break our season BECAUSE in England any team can beat any team...even a team full of World Cup stars!

My apologies for possibly indelicate language. No offense was meant, and certainly didn’t want to sound raggish in any way, if I did.

Liverpool have an easy start and are the media darlings. They didn’t lose too many to the World Cup, and they’ve paid mightily for reinforcements, as opposed to replacements.

I’d take second to ANYONE EXCEPT Dippers or Reds right now, if we won CL as well!

This might be a very interesting season, because there are a handful of exceedingly strong teams and a seeming bunch of also rans. The Top 6 stranglehold seems to be tightening.

Any team of Chelsea, rags and Liverpool could win it as a one off. However across the next 4 years we'll win half. We have the capability of running away with it again and more importantly if we need to strengthen we're proven to do this year on year. I think Liverpool spending might me a one off.

You seriously believe the media can get these over the line? they've had their backing every year and come up short, you're seriously underestimating the strength in depth we have to cope with injuries
They will not break any record we set last season

Unfortunately the dippers, with this hype and media propulsion, will play like they do against us every game . I really do think it will be their year next year.
Remember we also stuffed them 5-0 at our place last year, they may well raise their game against us but they are also just as likely to follow it up with a loss against the likes of Newcastle and for some reason, they're still shit scared of attacking the rags

The Dippers will be relying on their major signings hitting the ground running, personally I can't see it,not many come from abroad and are an instant success. Even if they settle in quickly after a few weeks we will probably be up and away...... not wishing to sound cocky but I think we will piss it again...

If you think Liverpool won't push us close you are slightly deluded in my view. Consider that last Season we won 10 games by just one goal difference . Any reversal in that level of dominance and the gap narrows.

I'm not deluded, but I also don't give a fuck about them, or who they've signed. I'm still enjoying our record breaking season and looking forward to this coming one with huge optimism. Some people on here should give it a try, it makes life much more satisfying!
