Who'd you reckon will be our new striker?

Really hope it's not Gomez the guy is as immobile as Dzeko.

Can see it being someone like Villa considering it looks like we don't want to spend that much.

Not seen this name yet but think his club would sell.
Defoe a season after season goal scorer and English as well he comes from the same mould as Kevin Phillips.

We ain't in 2008 now mate.

Fernando Torres. If Chelsea are still pushing for Cavani, we should make a sneaky £10-15m for Torres..

Prem proven and with the right service he can be devastating. Would also have a few mates here with Navas, Silva and Aguero.
Yea, just imagine if he had players like a Mata, Hazard, Oscar, etc. "servicing" him all season. Then maybe he'd have been able to muster more than a laughable 8 goals in 36 games last campaign!

Oh wait.....

Still with 22 goals over the season he was chelseas top scorer.

Look who he scored against

Villa himself would require huge wages so I doubt him.

Doesn't really matter he scored them.

Maybe no one, go with the two we have plus promote EDS players, Kidd brought a couple on against Chelsea and they did alright didn't disgrace themselves why not give youth a chance. Seemed to me last year anyway when we played with sole striker and packed midfield we didn't lose that many games.

Of course it matters. City aspire to win the Premier League and advance far in the Champions League. Torres' ability to score against Europa League competition doesn't help them achieve either of those goals.

There's bout 4 or 5 of basically the same thread on the first page in the transfer forum.

Replacement for Tevez

One or two quality strikers

Replacements for Mario and Tevez

Etc etc

Pretty sure he helped them win the Champions League.
