Played 9, won 2, drew 1 and lost 6 against Klopp’s Liverpool. What are the reasons? Klopp is the only manager who seems to know how to beat Pep and has quite a good record against him. Is it only because of an immense high-pressing that Liverpool apply when they play us? Does this mean our players aren’t good enough on the ball to get out of high-pressure? I don’t believe it has anything to do with an atmosphere etc. In the second half we were a lot better because Liverpool sat deep and allowed us to have time on the ball. That’s what 95% of teams do when they play us, they don’t press us at all. Was Pep’s Barca the only team who could get out of high pressure against a top top opposition using tiki taka?
