Why are we always so poor against Klopp’s Liverpool?

I agree with most of the posts on here in regard to the out of kilter form at Anfield. Not a win for 15 years. What I find really bizarre though is the number of decisions, lucky bounces and miss kicks etc that seem to end in a goal for them every time!

Exactly right. The way we play against them is insane cos it plays to their strengths. They sit deep, wait for us to give the ball away, and then steam downfield into oceans of space like lunatics, with the searing pace and direct running to make it count. And they score early every time, which turns the ground into a bear pit. It’s like Groundhog Day and until Pep acknowledges that our way of playing suits Liverpool, and opts for a more defensive set up instead, we will get gubbed there next year, and the year after that, and the year after that......

Liverpool have a habit putting in all their heart and soul in the big games but also burn themselves out in the process. The trick is not to give them any encouragement (something we are not good at) during the opening period of the game.

Exactly....manage the first 30 mins and liverpool i swear will get frustrated and they will fade and drop deep. All we had to do was keep the ball and manage the game tonight fir that first 30 mins and not over commit going forward, do that and we probably go in at half time 0-0

Different game then altogether, but no we just went out and played the same from the whistle

I think pep sets up perfectly for klopp. We don't change our set up to nullify teams and the way we play is perfect for klopp to exploit...

I said it in the pre match thread; we needed to keep them out for the first 20 minutes to have a chance

Its not just Klopp's Liverpool we were even shite when Hodgson was their manager at Klanfield and they were mid-table no hopers , and we still couldnt beat them . Every single time we go to KLanfiedl we give them at least a goal start and then go on to produce our worst away performance of the season , the only comnsolation is that even though they our firm favourites to make the Champs league semi finals , they will not win it , which means they have won one league Cup in 13 years. If we have to lose at Klamfield every season but we collect a couple of trophies on the way , i will take that . Let them have their cup final , i would rather fill the trophy cabinet
