Why Are We Not Allowed To Criticise Mancini?

Reading the umpteen comments about our Champions League performances, it seems that Mancini is forever beyond criticism. However, it seems to me that he is at least partly responsible and may simply be getting too big for his Italian boots. He has been unable to motivate players like Robinho, Adebayor, Bellamy, Boateng, Tevez and several others. Dzeko will be the next on his list. His man management skills need to be vastly improved if he wants to lead City to greater glories. As for his substitutional tactics, why does he always remove a striker and replace him with a midfielder only to bring on another striker some time later. He seems to do this all the time. Why for God's sake? Without doubt, Mancini is the best manager we have had at this football club but that doesn't mean that he can escape criticism. No I'm not a Rag, simply a fellow blue who lived through the doldrums of the 1990's and would love to see our current success last longer than that enjoyed by the last club who won the league simply through buying power and little else...Blackburn Rovers.

Take a look at the players you have mentioned and tell me a manager that hasnt had a problem with them.

Everyone has the right to critisize, last night for example leaving out our best centre half this season, switching VK to the left side and playing Kolo with 1 game in 6 months was in my opinion a mistake, playing Nasri and Dzeko and not Milner and Jongie was a mistake in my opinion. But do you know what, week in week out i differ from his selections, subs and then i remember he gave us the FA Cup and Champs league football and i thank our owners they employ RM as our manager

Constructive critisim is ok, but your all over the shop.First off Kolo Toure has vast experience playing Champs lge including a final, hence the reason we bought him,Joleon has played once against Napoli and in fairness looked out of his depth! Second, your contradicting yourself with De Jong if Kolo shouldn't have played due to match sharpness, De Jong is in the very same boat, at least Kolo has been fit for 6 months Nigel has been injured for 6 weeks!!! Then again everyone is entitled to they're opinion mine & yours just differ slightly!

I was referring to the fact that being our biggest European game that playing someone in defence who was not going to be match fit was a mistake, as for Jongie if he was on the bench he should have started, he might have lasted an hour but job done in that time, as i said only my opinion (-;

Because many people on this website cannot differentiate between "he did xxx wrong" and "Mancini out!" It's fucking frustrating. It's like, all of a sudden you can't criticise anything on Bluemoon or you're labelled a "moaning ****" or part of the 'cabal'(fucking cringe!). There's too much lovey-dovey shit on this website. Similar to how there was too much overreaction and "Mancini out!" shit previosuly. It's like this site has contrasted to the complete opposite end of the scale.

If people want a good moan, without it being defamatory or sinister, fucking have it. Back it all up, don't just come on and talk shit, but constructive criticism is an absolute must that many people would like to have discussions about.

Come on Bluemoon, snap out of this soppy bullshit that has been a feature where people cannot criticise any part of the club without being called names!

Bollox theres always been negative critisism on BM, infact untill recently the negativity was paramount.
I can remember if you said anything positive you were shot down abused and fucked off.
But if you still get your kicks on mcfc having a bad day now, then it will be more difficult to get credence. These days its more objective I hope.

Lionheart, you are as entitled to criticise whomever you want, but don't expect everyone to agree with youre frankly fucking stupid opinions.

Agreed. Isn't it funny how almost anyone that says they aren't allowed to criticize or some variant of that sentiment always seems to really mean, "I can't handle anyone disagreeing with me while I continually vent my spleen!"

It seems that you are allowed.

Don't cry just because msot people don't agree with you.

Mancini has made one mistake, imo, this season and that was bringing Silva off against Fulham.

His subs against Everton speak for themselves and I see the logic behind the Dzeko/De Jong sub. We started off well against them as well and could have been 3 up before Hart had to do anything.

As long as criticism is constructive and reasoned then it's fine. No manager is perfect so there are always decisions that can be questioned but too often the criticism is unfair and over the top. I believe that there are supporters who have had it in for Mancini literally from the day he arrived and are just waiting for opportunities to have a go at him. Because of that I feel probably overly defensive of him and admittedly find criticism of him difficult to take without arguing his corner.
