Why aren't there more clubs like Brighton and Brentford in England?

Two clubs who have constantly bought players cheap, improved them and sold them for major profit.

This happens all over Europe, European clubs HAVE to do it in order to compete financially with the PL. As seen with Ajax, Benfica, Porto, Monaco etc.

Why is it only two teams over here who have done it with major success? Seems like everyone else are the suckers paying inflated fees. Why is it so hard for their transfer strategies to be adopted by other, historically bigger clubs? I can understand big 6 teams having to pay inflated prices, but not the likes of Villa, Everton, Leeds, etc.
You need to go into the world of Matthew Benham and Tony Bloom. Both built their money and clubs on betting, or more like trading. They realised that having 100s of people analysing matches, with bespoke methods, can figure out players who are over looked and can contribute in the right system. Then sell on for a bundle. They had very very humble starts with little expectation but did brilliant jobs. At Brentford, Benham was helped by Rasmus Ankersen and they have big links to Midtyjlland. Ankersen is now at Southampton having set up Sport Republic and they have an 80% stake in Southampton. He has a bit more money and probably no coincidence they have ramraided CIty.

Not really.
We have better players in the positions of the 2 we sold to them.
Who do we have better in our system than Zinchenko?
Not sure Alvarez has proven better than Gabby yet.
We sold them because they wanted to go not because we improved on them.
