Why do dog owners think everyone loves their dogs?

After our next door neighbours house got burgled, they went out a got a Doberman and called it BOMA. The husband was called BOb and she was called MArgret. Needless to say it turned out to be a complete fucking lunatic.

It's the ones that talk loudly to their dogs as if we all should be interested. I love dogs and have had one most of my life but I get the op's point. It's these weirdos that take them to cafes and pubs that I don't understand, people have allergies and people are scared of dogs they don't know, leave them at home.

We are those 'weirdos' that take ours to the pub. They are most certainly better behaved than the majority of kids in there ... and many adults to be fair. :-)

Back when I was in Manchester I used to take mine The Metropolitan every weekend. People went nuts to come over and pet him.

This thread is not doing anything to change my opinion on dog haters probably being a bit noncey.

I think people get confused with humans and dogs, some very odd people about that are pretty selfish types. Shall we start bringing cats as well? Weirdos

We have two French Bulldogs, people tend to love them and come over to see them. Sergio Kun Aguero and Vincent Kompany are their names, Serg and Vinnie for daily use.

I get a range of reactions but I always make sure people know their names.

I don't assume everyone loves my dog. But I walk where there are dozens of dogs all the time in the local park. If you walk through and are scared of dogs then you're playing with fire. What also fucks me off is people who walk their aggressive/scared/soft whatever dogs through the place where there's loads of other dogs.... then moan about it....

I have a dog who's a legend and when I met my now wife she had 2 cats. Cats are weird. They're a pain in the arse too and I believe that Cats should have to be indoors or in pens like they do in Australia.

Our cat comes back with a bird a day in summer. Mangy skanky little shit.

Dogs a legend though. Friendly, sweet and really clever.
