Why do dog owners think everyone loves their dogs?

I was attacked by two Doberman dogs when i was a kid, I ended up in hozzy and I am wary as fuck about dogs

Dies anyone else feel like me?
Yep I'm with you there mate.
When I was on the bin rounds about 10 years ago we'd see this lovely husky dog every week, ded friendly and we'd stroke and pat it.
Then this particular week his gate was open, we put the bin in for the lad and his dog came rushing out and bit me on the leg. He said it'd never done anything like that before, which I kind of believed but I said thank your lucky stars I wasn't a young kid as it would've been a different story.
I ended up having to get a tetanus injection on the way home, I rang my docs for advice and they said drop in when I'm going past as the nurse was in luckily.

You wouldn't get jabbed so quick now

If by ‘snappy’ you mean giving out ‘nips’, then Collie’s are like that mainly because it’s part of their way of correcting what they see as bad behaviour, they use it with sheep, especially if one’s being an arse, it’ll give it a little nip on its arse or hind legs.
Whilst I agree with the owner thing in many ways, sometimes , you just get dodgy dogs, unfortunately many owners don’t understand what measures have to be taken when you have one, plus, there’s always rescues that have been taken on, some can be really challenging and can take a lot of time and patience to get them in a place they feel ok socialising.

No argument on the piss stained undies though, probably had a few Nigel Mansell’s in there too ;-).
When talking about collies I meant the larger ones not the border collies used for sheep management. I be always found these very intelligent and sweet dogs as a friend of mine has had them for nigh on 40 years and they have been easy to train too

Always had a dog as a kid in Ashton, great pooch Laddie.

Not had one nor would I now an adult in fact almost an FOC these days.

What I have noticed is from leaving Gtr Manchester where there were both a lot of penis extension dogs, lots of aggressive barking dogs and shitbags in trees, to where I am now dogs are more calmer in face barking usually occurs when tourists turn up with their urban mutt. I do think a chilled owner produces a chilled dig. Trees are predominantly shitless too up in Fleetwood.

I'll happily stoke a dog now when out walking that wouldn't have been the case in Manchester.

I was visiting a farm last month and got nipped by one of their collies. " He only normally does that to sheep and he's just come in not calmed down yet...... " Archie said. I felt so reassured hearing that.

Ah you mean the Rough type Collie (like Lassie) or the Old English ?
If it’s the former then I see what you mean, seem a bit temperamental some of them ime.
