Why does no one claim to care about Manchester City?

Anyone who says they don't care, does care.

If you didn't care, you wouldn't say anything because we would be irrelevant to you.

Anyway, I don't care what they think!

they are trying to hard in not caring ? the best way is use the puzzle ? agree in anything they say and i back your thoughts. its so funny to watch how they turn in a instant and the truth pops out

Friends of mine who are fans of Blackpool, Burnley and Everton have little liking for us but even so much prefer us to the rags and the dippers who they despise. I for one have no wish to see our support expand world wide, but believe it will always be rooted in Manchester's protestant working class, which stood tall for the club in the bad times.
Fuckin bolocks, i’m a catholic all my family are blues, go to the match with 20 lads from Longsight, Levy, Blackley, Prestwich, Whitefield and i’m from
Moston more than half of us catholics i’m 55 years of age and my family was going to Maine rd from the 1930’s

City has been a part of my life since the day i was born.

I have had the pleasure of being a part of a significant period of our evolvment in to potential European Champions.

If you had told me all those years ago, when i was sat in the Red Lion beer Garden literally in tears on a Sunday Mornning after another relegation. This time playing out a draw for the last few inutes at home against Livepool, not realisung we were down with that result. That we would go on to win 5 Titles, and go to a Champions League Final,i wouldnt have believed you in a Million years.

Growing up in Moss Side,City was always at the Heart of our communitty.Has always been more than just a Football Club to us die hards.City was a part of our life.A working Mans Club, and i still believe our core fan Base would self identify this way.

From starting life as a junior Blue, which was great fun as a Kid.Loved the Christmas parties, where you always got a "Fly away" Football, and got to meet the players. You felt part of the Club.

Then you become a Teenager and your life revovles around playing Football 2,3 times a week.Getting to go to football trainning at the old trainning ground once a week with your Club, and having the pleasure of being trained by Peter Barnes, and Gary Owen, great Guys by the way.Borh good for a laugh.

You have all this social side going on whilst following the Club you love.It ends up feeling more like a family member.Right up there in your list of loves.

The journey had had many ups and downs, relegations, promotions.I was not there for all of them, but when i wsnt i was there spiritually.I was lucky enough to do Bradford away promotion ,getting down early with other blues sneeking in,and hiding in the toilets until kick off. What a day that was.Promotions, relegations was literally our Season for a long time. And you wonder why older blues on the match thread are pessimistic.Poor fuckers are emotionally scarred :-)

I miss the old match days at the Park Side with all my mates from the Hospital, and all the Posties, great day we had there.

That Cup match against Spurs years ago when it kicked off,and there was pictures all over the Papers of Postmen still in full uniform scrapping. Not condonning it by the way.But i t was funny as fuck when everryone was worried about getting sacked.Picturesall over the paper.I was a passive observer wrongly photogaphed.Still hate Spurs with a vwngance.

All the Sons of us older fans are now City main crew.

I get embaressed about being reminded of my past sins following City.

There was a time being a Blue you had to have thick skin and be able to hold your own.

I have my own theory on why we are hated.I think we are secretly admired. When we were relegated to the third tier we broke records for crowds in that division. We didnt all fuck off and let the Club die.We stuck together, and it made us stronger. When Newcastle went the same way they nearly went out of exsistenze.

How can you not secretly admire a fan base like ours ?.If anyone deserves to be going to Istanbul at the end of May it is us.

Glory hunters we are not.

There is no sectarianism in Manchester. Maybe more so in Liverpool and Glasgow

when i was a kid in ancoats and miles platting collyhurst sectarianism was big in manchester and loads of Irish people and pubs. there was a pub on the corner of great ancoats st and oldham road called the Vincent. boy that was a place on the weekends and many a fight about what religion you was

Anyone who says they don’t care definitely does care.

but why do you care whether other fans care or not care?
A lot or neurotic fans who get wound up by social media, tabloids, talk sport, tv commentators and presenters.

People who I work with don't even know which team, if any, I support, so no need for lowest common denominator discussions and 'banter'.

They do care, they care a lot as they can see how a club should be run, what owners should do and also how the players should behave. They are jealous and also annoyed at their own teams failings. This is compounded by their ridiculous self entitlement that has been born over a relatively shot period of time (70s & 80s for the dippers and 90s & 2000s for the Rags). I have always been proud to say I am a city fan, even in the dark days. We seem to always try and do it right (may be blue tinted glasses there) and other teams supporters would have Admitted having a soft spot for us. We are being tarred for having an owner who has invested hugely in the club and asked for nothing back. We managed to beat FFP which was designed to stop us by the G14, which they did not count on and so they rested on their laurels not realising how outmoded their ownership had become. Their fans can’t accept this and therefore spew bollocks about not caring about city but in reality they care so much as they can see their glass palaces are cracking and are about to come down around their heads, because their teams were arrogant enough not to think about the future.
