Why Don't Asians Support City?

Im asian and this is a fairly easy question. Its because nearly all of their parents support united so they bring them up as united fans. Im lucky that my uncle was a blue, dad is a united fan but im lucky i followed my uncle and not my dad :p

I always wind up any rag asians I know by simply saying

" you should support a good muslim owned club like City not the rags who are owned by that jewish american malcom glaizer
they never know how to answer that one
btw I don.t even know if glazier is jewish but it seems to work for me
lol! Good one!

There you go, see what happens....You let one asian on the board and pretty soon there are more of them. Well us members of the White Anglo Neo Klan Eccles Riot Squad (WANKERS) take exception to this invasion.

The more the merrier.......Great to have you lads.

The time when football were popular in Asia, City were probably playing-off with Gillingham for a spot in League 2(now the Championship).
The rags, scousers, arses were top then and football followers were familiar with them. Friends, sons, relatives, in-laws soon join them and all they know were the rags, scousers......., seeking glory.
If City were to maintain their 1976 runner-up and League cup triumph, their support will probably be immense now.
But new generations of Asians now are more aware of City and new followers of football would support them if not for friends/relatives persuasion.

The sikh thing is probably down to Trafford being a very sikh/indian area, all the lads i know from chorlton who are sikh are reds.

Got a fair few Asian mates who support City but none of them go,suppose there's still a stigma attached to football matches.

OK, time for a sweeping generalisation (apologies if it has already been posted). If the lad is second generation, you'll probably find that his parents aren't interested in football. That being the case, then he is obviously going to be attracted by the more successful team - hence the Rag fans. To be perfectly honest, we haven't really met them half way have we? Most people with no affiliation to City would support us.

Right, who's going to start the 'Why don't the Chinese/Welsh/Irish support City?' thread?

Most people are gloryhunters.

Fixed.

I encountered the most ridiculous thing on my honeymoon in Thailand where I saw a guy in a tiny shop wearing a fake City shirt and my wife and I had a chat with him about Football. Turned out he was a United fan but he liked Shinawatra.....
