Why I'm giving up on football, City and Bluemoon

I sympathise with the OP. I’m really, really tired of the hate, the jibes, the downright lies, the racism, the hypocrisy… it’s exhausting.

We are despised to a level that I didn’t even think was possible for a football club.
We have the media and "journos" to thank for that. Some rational fans are able to see through media smears and understand FFP preserves the interest of "legacy" clubs.

Dippers are in meltdown and insisting they are owed 2 PL titles lol. Has the media ever called out their bizarre high rates of asthma within their team and the use of a prescribed inhaler to enhance the stamina of their players on the pitch? Dippers hacking in to our system only received a couple of column inches in most newspapers.

No one is allowed to pack it in, there’s too many rags and scouse cunts about. Can’t talk football with anyone who’s not a blue these days.

This is what they want.

They want to strip City of our dignity, our reputation, our standing in the game, our money and our fanbase.

Don’t let them do it.
Your right it's what they want
But its getting ridiculous now

So this is my last post. 55 years after my first match seeing City. 10 years a season ticket holder 1985 to 1995 until work and family took me too far away. I was there in 2012 and was there for that Tuart goal. Been to many but not all recent cup finals.
I have been vocal about VAR, CAS and FFP.
So, today I have decided I have fallen out of love with this game, the trolls on this forum and the corruption hiding in plain sight both financial and governance. Refereeing and game manipulation and arguing the toss with morons and hypocrites.
My passion has faded with each passing year of vested interest interference, press compliance and journalistic spite.
And, yes, VAR has killed my excitement. Thank God we didn't have to wait for it in 2012. A moment that will never be repeated again in football history.
In truth, this has been coming for a while. I will sign off and find a new passion. City are not to blame. I watched football for the fun and passion. I now know more about global politics, financial compliance and sports governance than I do about our own under 18s. Something has gone drastically wrong with the game.
Our own forum has also become raggish and dipperish, misogynistic and trolled by posters who don't even support the club... And then the fans who love certain players rather than the club. Yes I'm old and I won't be missed but I already feel better letting go. Good luck fighting the good but ultimately doomed battle.
Thanks City for the best and worst times of my life but life is too short.
Fully understand and agree with every word.
Cannot copy your actions because I go with my son, and I would miss that experience more than a KDB assist.
VAR nearly had me jacking it in, this might do it at the end of the season.
Given the difficulty of driving to and parking at the game, it would be very easy to give in now.
Love the people I have sat with, shouted at and hugged over the years. But I am getting older and missing out on some simpler things in life.
So I will be there vs Villa clapping but not shouting and singing. Sorry but I am quietly spoken and my throat hurts just shouting when we score! And hopefully a run of now “typical City” performances will change my tune.

Cmon you blues!

That's it for me as well. I've had enough of all these trophies and titles, and bloody champions league finals. I've followed City home and away since 1973, two years before I was born. I've had my eyes scientifically checked by experts and they have confirmed that they are the bluest shade of blue since Paul Power ate a smurf and shat it out like a roman candle, on blue Monday. I was the first person to sing blue moon, in fact, I'm due some royalties. Not only did I attend York away, I drove the bus!

I've had it with these light shows and tunnel clubs for entitled footballers, treating them like they are God's, and not just men who kick around a ball filled with air. I'm off to Stockport County, where I can stand on a terrace, with a cup of bovril, and hurl insults at young footballers of limited ability. I really want to shout, "Head it, you ginger ****!" Doesn't everyone??

The standards have been dropping ever since that Balotelli clown made a mockery of our club. It's all step overs and dives from this foreign lot. And now we have Pep, the bond villain, with his 79% procession. At least let the other team have a go? Make a bloody game of it! The final straw for me was when he had a go at us fans for not singing. I had to get 3 buses to that match, I set off at 6am, an hour before I woke up, worked 13 hours in a factory and crawled to the match on my hands and knees. These newfangled football fans will never know what it's really like in the real world. They just stand around like zombies, glued to their phones, while sipping on their frothy twatuccinos.

I'm out of here and nothing can change my mind, not even a wire transfer from ADUG

Tueart.

I'm the sort of messed up fucker who is quite excited at the idea of playing in the conference. It will not happen, we will waste the fuckers but it is part of the circus of City. The circus used to be on and off the field, now it's largely off it. I'm locked into this rollercoaster ride for life. Bring it on.

CTID. Nothing will ever ever change that.

Yep. I mean it – literally. Doesn't mean I'm a Big Blue, or any of that nonsense. I've just got no choice.
In that sense, all of these sheninigans about charges that have blown up might be happening on the other side of the solar system. I believe we are innocent, because the club says so, and I must trust my club.
But in the unlikely event that we are found guilty, it doesn't change a fucking thing about the fact that I've followed City since I was fourteen, and I'm now sixty-nine and, like anyone, I don't know how much time is left. And that's a much bigger perspective, for me personally, than charges, cooked up or otherwise, against a place and institution that has genuinely been a kind of home from home for me for all these decades.
It really is as simple as that.
