Why is there always something wrong?

We need to improve our away form starting at Villa. 5pts from 18 with only 3 goals scored in the last 6 league games away is not good enough.

correct but you only do that by having confidence in your ability, trust in your team mates and able to enjoy the game. You can only do that if us the fans stay behind the team at all times and dont panic with the odd bad result. We are on the run in to what could be the most glorious day in most of our life times. Relax get prospective and enjoy our wonderful team.

Exactly. Try and enjoy it. I don't remember reading about people killing themselves when we were shit so why are we acting like it's the end of the world when we lose a match now? If you can't enjoy it now, then football is the wrong sport for you.

If you enjoyed Tuesday then you are some kind of football masochist because it was frustrating as hell. If the team you watch every week underperforms then it's hard to watch as a fan whether your team are in the Conference, the Premier League or The Champions League.

It's all a bit simplistic, this discussion.

To start panicking and fretting too much after results like West Brom, Bayern, Napoli can be construed as kneejerk: every team had bad luck or doesn't play well from time to time.

Tuesday's result was a bit different to this. It was a poor performance in a run of patchy performances. It was a clear demonstration that workmanlike teams can squeeze us out. And the body language around the club frightened a lot of people. WE didn't look like Champions, we looked like a team who could choke.

Having said that, the ball didn't run for us first half, and there were more poor decisions, and it was a lucky equaliser. We are certainly not in a bloody crisis, but alarm bells are ringing for some people.

A run of form is badly, badly needed.

I totally agree with everything you say and have the same concerns myself. The difference is that you have expressed your concerns using rationale and logic rather than just saying that Kolarok, Dzecko etc are shit and we should roll teams like Everton over.

-- Thu Feb 02, 2012 10:08 am --

I enjoyed it much more than the shit we used to see under Stuart Pearce. Frustrating yes, but the football was still much, much better than what I've been used to at City over the years.

which players want to leave or allegedly want to leave, what have i missed now?

no one.

But Dzeko, Aguero, Barry and even Silva are all shit, sell them all apparently.

mancini want's to go aswell, he's very unhappy in England. The way he moved his right leg over to his left when he crossed them was a sign.

in crisis, sack everyone.

Equaliser DD? Did we get a point then? or are you mixing up your scousers? ;-)

I am a 'tad' concerned...I thought we moved the ball well early doors and Micah got in a good shot direct on target but for all the possession after that we never made the keeper work...that has happened away a few times now and along with a very poor run of decisions from officials it's had the effect of knocking the stuffing out of the lads I think...whilst everone is praising Utd and Spurs for effectively 'hanging on' to our coat tails the perception is that we are slipping and/or copuld've been out of sight...the reality is that we are top after a blip and we get to go again and one decent performance can send out a whole new message and give the team and fans a lift. Home is where we can kick start it all again.I hope it will come tomorrow.

Because some people can be reactionary idiots on here.

Don't get me wrong, tonight wasn't good but too many people expect us to win every game and throw their toys out when we don't.

Everton away was never going to be easy, but we need to improve fast. We're still top going into February with a reasonable run of fixtures ahead though.

Time for calm heads.

VK got it spot on.

"If anything it will give us a boost to carry on and if people want to underestimate us, then please do so."

Most have acknowledged it was a poor performance from City tonight. However it's not unreasonable for people to question why we had to endure yet another poor refereeing performance.

What is unreasonable is to call people 'reactionary idiots'. The raison d'etre of places like this is to provide a space for people to react to things that happen surely?

Sorry, I should quantify that. I meant those who have called for Mancini to be fired, or Dzeko/Barry/Johnson (add who you like) to be sold of the basis on tonight's result. Obviously I didn't mean anyone who was consructively critical of the performance this evening.
No ,you was right, they are idiots.

Moyes is a reasonable manager but hates City for the way they "stole" Lescott.

He gave Wayne away for cheap money.

In my opinion he wants the United Job and I hope he gets it.
