why mancini why?

We had more than enough on paper to win yesterday.
I don't think it was a "weakened" team.
Just one of those days, a few poor individual displays
and a very lucky break for them.
Forget it i say and focus on next game.

Funny that many on here including myself were happy with the team selection yesterday, i didnt see many(in fact none) berating the selection..

Its oooooooooooooooh so easy to rip into Bob after the game..

Hinesight is a wondeful thing.

mancini would have expected to win as did i and so did baconface. Unfortunately it doesn't always happen like that

How do you know startingwith Silva , Aguero etc we would have won. How do you know thatSilva wouldn't have got a bad tackle in the first half and been injured for the rest of theseason.

We have had a tough Xmas period with 2 away games whilst our nearest rivals played the bottom 2 at home and we are still top

Keep the faith

The team Mancini put out yesterday would have beaten Sunderland at the Etihad no probs..Away to a ten man defence is a different kettle of fish.

If we put the 'full' team out for that game, what would you do tomorrow? And the other 5 games (potentially 6) we have this month alone?

Think youve read my post wrong bud...was happy with the selection yesterday..

saving players for the dippers, when ushited had got beat at home,

then blame the players after the game,

you play your best team when they are fit, simple,

us fans that travelled up there deserved better than that crap!

maybe we'll rest ourselves when we play shit teams and you can play in an empty stadium eh?

we wouldnt do it, so buck your fucking idea's up lad, points on the board win titles not fit players!

Is this a serious thread?
Here's an idea. Let's just keep our best 11 plus 6 subs and get rid of the rest eh???!!! Would save us a fortune and ensure we have no problems with the FFP situation. Would that make you happy? Every single player that Mancini put out was a full international player and well capable of beating any team in the league, let alone a depleted Sunderland one. Are you in the "We should batter every team 5-0" brigade?
We didn't get the breaks but had more than enough chances to win this game. Won't be the last time it happens this season, for us or any of the other title challengers. And somehow I don't think this will be the last time we see unnecessary, knee-jerk, non-constructive threads like this.

no i'm not in that brigade, however i think playing our strongest side then taking the best players off after we have scored a couple is the better idea rather than what happened yesterday,

big opportunity gone in my eyes!

But do you seriously think that the team we put out wasn't good enough to beat Sunderland? The team selection was not a problem in any way shape or form. Look at how many chances we created. Hit the bar twice, great save by the keeper at point blank from Dzeko, a weak shot each from Silva and Aguero, a few last ditch blocks by their defenders etc etc. If we had put just one of those away, the game would have opened up and we would most probably have taken them apart. And to cap it all, we were beaten by an offside goal. This eez football mate.
