why pellegrini

Like United getting Moyes, I think we have gone for someone who will be a better cultural fit for the club and who has overachieved with some teams rather than primarily looking at his trophy record....doubt the media will paint it in that light though.

Real Madrid were explosive with him in charge.

Different league,different players.
We won't know till next season. We are gambling with this appointment.

Every appointment is a GAMBLE

True but appointing a manager like Mourinho or Ancelloti would be less of a GAMBLE would it not?

we need stability.

What happens if pelligrini doesnt win anyhting next year do we then sack him and then get another coach and sack him when hes not succesful.

Jesus christ...Soriano and Txiki have extensive knowledge of La Liga and inside knowledge on Pellegrini.

They are not going to appoint a manager as a gamble are they

The stability comes from the plans the board has in place.

The under 18's coach has apparently been sacked as well so it oooks like the Txiki is starting reshape the club in the direction they want it to take

He'll get two years minimum barring disaster.

Then some of the younger guys we like- Pep, De Boer, might be available.

I can't wait to dig up this thread in a few months. Pellegrini is a class act. We are in good hands blues.
