And what if we lose there Rammy?

Say we fail to win today and then we were to lose at the swamp - two VERY conceivable results. We could be 11 or 12 points behind if you count the possible loss at the swamp. i.e. GAME OVER.

What if we lose all our games and they win all of theres?

If you don't have any faith that we will get results when we need them, and they will drop points during the year then of course you're going to think we're out of the title race.

It is wise to be thinking we must go to the swamp and win to have any chance? Er, no.

Far better to go there and know that either we are in the box seat already, or that win lose or draw, we are still in contention.

That is why we have to stay in touch and cannot afford to carry on dropping points away as we have been doing.

I am puzzled by your "don't worry lads, just carry on as you are, everything will be OK" attitude. Carry on as we are and everything will not be OK.

And what difference will your attitude make to things.

I guess if you have that much belief in United I can understand that you might think the title is over. But they will lose games, they do every year. And if one of those games is the derby (where we won by 5 goals last season) we only have to make up another 3 points.

Its not about having that much belief in them - its about being realistic. They have beaten big clubs away from home. We haven't even beaten them at home (Utd and Arsenal) and drawn with Chelsea/Liverpool away.

Utd have shown even when playing poorly this season they are still outscoring the opposition and have scored 10 goals more than us away from home. We need to rely on them losing particularly against Chelsea, Liverpool and us at home (or a couple of those). Or Arsenal/Spurs away.

I can't see them losing many more games if any at home when Vidic is back fully fit. If we drop any more points before we go into the new year period we simply wont recover and makes all these possibilities less likely.
Hang on, they lost at Norwich and Everton and at home to SPurs.

Winning the big aways (us, chelsea, liverpool) means nothing if you then go on to lose to Norwich. They can lose any game this season. That is why we will always be in with a shout.

It means nothing if your rivals go to the same places and win as well then stick 6 past Norwich but we have been to Chelsea and Liverpool and took only 2 points. They took 9 points from us, Chelsea and Liverpool away. That's a 7 point difference which means they can afford to lose at the likes of Norwich, even if we win there (Norwich) in a few weeks time then they will still be 4 points better off for the same games. It's not over by a long shot as you quite rightly infer and they have been bloody lucky to date with some key decisions in big games going their way, lets hope they run out of luck on that side sooner rather than later.

It's a mixture of bravado and blind hope. There's only one thing that needs to happen and needs to happen right now: we need to start playing to our potential and keep that pressure bang on man united. We need to go on a long winning run which starts today. If we carry on as we are the season will be a failure.

One thing needs to happen win games doesn't matter how we play keep winning and getting those 3 points

It's not though is it? It's just a different opinion. Some see us as being on the verge of a dinosaur sized extinction at each news story, refereeing decision and cack-handed reading of every nuance of Mancini's body language whilst second guessing Abu Dhabi.

Others put things into perspective, recognise that there are some issues that need addressing, that everything is far from broken and whilst disappointed at how some things have panned out believe we still have a great chance of silverware this season in spite of it.

Bravado and blind hope?

Because we don't automatically presume we'll lose and United are incapable of losing.

Sure thing.

Fair play on the bravado and blind hop, lads. Can't knock you for it. But the truth is that we haven't been playing to anything like our potential. That's the problem that needs addressing quickly, or we are out of the league and Mancini is out of a job come summer.

I'll save the drama queening for if and when that happens. But that could just be my bravado and blind hope showing.

Another terrible performance from the CHAMPIONS

tut tut Mancini out!

It's just bravado and blind hoping. We actually lost today in the "realist" world some occupy. We'll be 9 points down later on today.
