Thing is though, if it was my view before today that should Guardiola or Mourinho be available and interested in coming the club should seriously consider replacing Mancini, then one good performance against Newcastle is hardly going to change my mind on such a fundamental issue

Yes. It's the sort of oneupmanship, I-told-you-so comment that some posters like to crow about after a single game. Ridiculous indeed to base a comment about the managers future either way on one game.

Agreed. There cannot be a single genuine supporter who is not delighted that we won today.

And although one game does change nothing, for the first time this season we saw just flashes of some of the brilliance we showed last season, which is very encouraging. Still suffering from our usual dismal finishing. Sort that out and we could be off.
