Marvin said:Have you followed Balotelli at all since he went to AC Milan. He was scoring in every game, and the goals have only stopped since he was suspendedFantasyIreland said:Marvin said:Off topic perhaps but Garcia is a very good player. He's competing with Barry and Yaya Toure for a starting position in that role
I don't have any issues with the quality of the players we bought in the Summer. What has been a problem is that we sold Balotelli and AJ and did not replace them and we then went on to lose Aguero
It's disappointing that first Balotelli and now Dzeko's form has dipped so much. I don't know why that is, or who is responsible
He isnt competing with those two because he is someway short of their ability and class.
The majority of players we brought in would have complimented a lower to mid table team only, not defending Champions, although they are on contracts that say otherwise......
Mario should have been sold earlier,Bobs stubborn insistence he wasn't a balloon who didnt give a shit cost us the opportunity.
Dzeko has never suited our set up and Mancini has handled him very poorly.
Nastasic is a top drawer player, and should have been in the YPOY nominations.
Garcia is in the Spanish National Squad. In many ways I prefer him to Barry and Yaya in that deep role. Yaya is fantastic going forward with the ball at his feet but isn't very good at closing down, whilst Barry is a great passer and covers a huge amount of ground, but defensively I don't think he is as good as Garcia. Garcia is back in the Spanish National Squad and their midfield is possibly the best International midfield ever so I don't understand your views at all.
Possibly right about Dzeko. He's gone downhill. No arguments there
I don't want to turn this into a Garcia thread but all this 'he's in the squad' does he ever actually get on the pitch? And to be honest, Cleverly, Wellbeck, Cahill and lots of other average to shit players get in their national squads, it may not be that they rate him that highly. I think its more like Del Bosque can't be arsed flying to watch the useless twat so would rather Garcia fly to meet him so he can see his 'qualities' in training
Back on topic - Whatever happens Mancini has won the first major trophies for City in my lifetime and I will never forget that. If he stays we need to back him in the transfer market, unless of course he was the one who wanted these players then in that case let someone else do the buying
