Apparently we're the shortest reigning champions in Premier League history if they wrap it up tonight, 344 days. Yes even shorter than Blackburn as the following year's winners (scum) didn't win the league until May.

Do we get a trophy for that ;)

Short maybe, but very sweet none the less.

I'll wager we'll never again surrender it so easily.

A nonsense statistic with means absolutely nothing! I'd rather lose like this than the way they did in May.
The trophy says winners and runners-up, in a hundred years or even 12 months if we play well next year no one will give a monkey's who is the shortest champions.

W won it in May and people wanted rid of the manager in October, things in football are quickly forgotten

Off topic perhaps but Garcia is a very good player. He's competing with Barry and Yaya Toure for a starting position in that role

I don't have any issues with the quality of the players we bought in the Summer. What has been a problem is that we sold Balotelli and AJ and did not replace them and we then went on to lose Aguero

It's disappointing that first Balotelli and now Dzeko's form has dipped so much. I don't know why that is, or who is responsible

He isnt competing with those two because he is someway short of their ability and class.

The majority of players we brought in would have complimented a lower to mid table team only, not defending Champions, although they are on contracts that say otherwise......

Mario should have been sold earlier,Bobs stubborn insistence he wasn't a balloon who didnt give a shit cost us the opportunity.

Dzeko has never suited our set up and Mancini has handled him very poorly.

Special thanks to Marwood and the rest for making it possible. I hope when they hobnob with their pals, they can feel morally superior for the sensible restraint they showed in passing on Van Persie, Hazard and the rest for "sensible" options like Garcia and Sinclair.

Well fucking done. Hope the rags sent you an honorary Rooney kit with gold badges and a champ20ns hat.

Have you followed Balotelli at all since he went to AC Milan. He was scoring in every game, and the goals have only stopped since he was suspended

Nastasic is a top drawer player, and should have been in the YPOY nominations.

Garcia is in the Spanish National Squad. In many ways I prefer him to Barry and Yaya in that deep role. Yaya is fantastic going forward with the ball at his feet but isn't very good at closing down, whilst Barry is a great passer and covers a huge amount of ground, but defensively I don't think he is as good as Garcia. Garcia is back in the Spanish National Squad and their midfield is possibly the best International midfield ever so I don't understand your views at all.

Possibly right about Dzeko. He's gone downhill. No arguments there

This+1 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Im being vacuous. ;)
Where do I start?!
1) I dont base my opinion on Mancini on just this season. He repeats the same mistakes every season. (we know what they are)
2) £300m - the least to be expected is the FA Cup (NOT YET WON) - losing the prem title to a very ordinary team, and failure yet again in CL isnt acceptable. Just beating Utd isnt enough any more.
3) RVP has been the difference - REALLY? Rubbish. Team ethic, motivation and fighting spirit have been the difference - and thats the manager's job.

4)Why should we expect better next season? Why should the players be more motivated and suddenly get that fighting spirit? In what way will we improve in CL when we know Mancini has an awful record there and repeats poor decision making mistakes again and again?

oh ffs you couldnt make this shit up.. everyone knows that RVP was the difference.. ok then answer me this.. where was uniteds team ethic, motivation and fighting spirit last season when they lost the title,in fact they won fook all ??

same team same manager..answer me that.. of course it was RVP.

Oh and one last thing, If mancini repeats his mistakes every season then how did we win the title.. ??

It seems that the main Mancini argument for outers is failure to reach knock out stages of champs league...I may be wrong but it looks like that to me..

UNITED'S 'FIGHTING SPIRIT' has been adequately shown in the fact they have won the bloody trophy back! Not because they were the best team - but because they fought hard for 93mins EVERY GAME.
Would RVP meant we would have beaten southampton and Everton? No. It was a collective team failure that did that - just as it did against spurs. One man wouldn't have made the difference. They still found a way to win without him playing or his goals!

Player motivation and team spirit is THE manager's job. Leaving alone his; poor team selections, abysmal man management, baffling tactics etc - surely that is the least we can expect from players getting £120k + PER WEEK?????? Thats why the hell I want him sacked.
