Well if ibrahimovic says it then that’s it we may as well sack him now.
It’s very, very simple. In the two and a half seasons he’s been with us we have won the FA cup, qualified for the champions league each season, won the premier league and at least reached the final of the FA cup this season.
Now that is irrefutable, cast iron fact.
If you don’t think that’s enough to save his job then I disagree.
But what I would ask is, if you don’t think it’s enough to save his job, what is?
Would we need to win the league each season? That’s simply not going to happen at any club in any league in the world.
Do we need to need get out of the group stage of the champions league? If so, are you saying that getting to the quarter final is worthy of keeping a manager? Semi final? Final? I couldn’t care less whether we go out in the group stage or quarter final. It’s a cup – you either win it or you’re nowhere.
You can question managers over specific games – i agree mancini had a shocker yesterday. But I would counter that by saying ferguson’s tactical performance in the title decider at the etihad last season was absolutely woeful. He got it totally wrong and was found badly, badly wanting. It doesn’t mean he’s a bad manager because you look at the trophies he’s won and that tells the real story. In the same way the fact mancini has won a trophy in every single season he’s been a manager and for someone in his late 40s that’s a quite brilliant feat.
Judge a manager by what he wins. Trophy cabinets don’t lie.
Maybe we want to conquer the world and not only England mate?
